RedlineTrackEvents - TIME ATTACK!
Hey everyone.
Redline Track Events is pleased to announce the first ever Redline: Time Attack! event to be held
at California Speedway on July 23rd, 2005.
Redline: Time Attack! is modeled after the traditional form of Time Attack racing that is popular
in Japan, the same that we have all been reading about in automotive magazines for the last year.
Up until now, all of the organized time attack events have been privately run events not accessible to the general public. Redline Track Events felt we could step in and provide an outlet for car enthusiasts to participate in a time attack, so we developed Redline:Time Attack!
The Redline:Time Attack! events will be open to any make and model of vehicle and just about any
modification will be allowed. Cars will be divided into classes based on their drive wheel
configurattion (FWD, AWD, and RWD). Each class will be further divided into subclasses that allow
for varying degrees of modifications.
The three subclasses are Street Mod, Limited, and Unlimited. Street Mod is intended for lightly
modified daily driven vehicles. Limited allows for aftermarket forced induction, the use of
stickier R-Compound tires, and a number of other power adders. Un-Limited is a no holds barred
class intended for the high horsepower cars and purpose built race cars. We will provide the
detailed rules and classifications on our website in the coming weeks @ www.RedlineTimeAttack.com
A Redline:Time Attack! will provide an opportunity for classic battles to take place: Import Vs.
Domestic, STI Vs. EVO, FWD Vs. RWD, Porsche Vs. Viper.
If you have any questions for us regarding this new event, please feel free to post questions here, or send me an email at chris@redlinetrackevents.com
We will have a FAQ on our new website in the next couple of weeks.
Let me know what you think....

For the Time Attack session, you'll get 3-5 clean laps for your best time to be used. There will be plenty of practice laps before each person runs the time attack.
I can't say how much total track time you'll get, but you'll probably end up with around 2 hours of track time, but only one session of 3-5 laps for your time attack run.
I'll have all the rules and regs up very soon. Everything will be posted at www.RedlineTimeAttack.com as soon as we finalize everything, but let me know if you have any more questions.
