RX8 Racing Schools?

Does anyone know if there are any racing schools for RX8's, that use cars owned by the school? (my car isn't set up for racing, and besides, I'd rather not beat it up). I looked into Skip Barber, but it seems all their racing schools are now MX5 Miata, it looked like the only thing they offered for the RX8 was a 'driving class'.

Thanks!

Regardless of whatever car it will be at a school the learning curve is tremendous and the knowledge gained can translate no matter what car your in, a good driver can drive anything well...
Sign up for the Skip Barber, you wont be dissapointed, top notch venue.

Ohh yeah and come out to our Sushi meet, get to meet everyone,, check out the thread in the NE section...

I know the Skip Barber school at Sebring had some RX8s in January. No idea if you can use them as part of the school or if they're instructor cars.

But really if you can drive MX5s you can drive the RX8. They're both lightweight, RWD momentum cars so the philosophy is the same. The 8 just has more power, more weight, and a lot more revs to work with.

Oh and its probably better to learn in a car you're not as familiar with rather than a car you already play around with the limits occasionally. Learning to understand the car as well as the track helps you learn to be a better driver.

Skip Barber uses basically stock RX8s for the wet skidpad exercise. The track driving is done with race prepped MX5 Cup cars (or formula cars depending on the school).
