Is it safe?

Ok, so I got the car last Saturday with 3 miles on it. I put on the prerequisite 600 miles by Wednesday ( a new record for myself) and I have an autocross tomorrow. So who thinks it's a good idea for the car to go racing this early in its life? I'm sitting at 700 some miles and I'd like to get the car out to stretch its legs a bit- so what's the consensus here from the racers?

Some suscribe to the theory that you should drive the car hard in it's first few miles (fully warmed up of course) and that will give you much better results than babying it.

True- I've heard that one, especially a bigger deal on rotaries I'm told (low rev- carbon on apex seals, apex seals blow, dead engine) but I usually give it a high rev or two a day, so that's all good. I'm not sure if the constant high rpms would be good for the car though, at least this early for it...
