SpeedVentures at Buttonwillow Raceway Feb 26th & 27th!
Our next event is a weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway; February 26th and 27
th, 2005
Price: $170 one day; $280 2 days ( + $30 instructor fee required for
first-timers)
Duration: 2 days 5 hours of track time per group!**
Track: Buttonwillow Raceway (near Bakersfield)
Registration: Registration is open:
https://www.speedventures.net/event_select.asp
Timing: Transponders are available for rental.
Event Info:
At 3 miles, Buttonwillow is the longest and most technical track in the Los
Angeles area. With twenty-three turns, three elevation changes, the banked
"Riverside" sweeper, and a perfect drift over "Lost Hill" (AKA "Magic
Mountain"), Buttonwillow offers both a unique learning environment, and a
challenge to advanced drivers.
We will be running #25 CW Saturday and #1 CCW Sunday as highlighted in
yellow below. This track is suitable for street cars, though we suggest that
the Riverside turn should be approached at conservative speeds of 70-80 mph
in cars without race rollover protection. The remainder of the turns on this
track are moderate-speed (35 - 70mph). Most Turns have wide runoff areas,
clear of major obstacles.
There will be 3 run groups at this event with limited registration to keep
traffic light. The schedule is here:
http://www.speedventures.net/schedule_sos.asp
This is a great deal at an excellent track. If you're interested, please see
this page for registration.
**Note - Details of this event are subject to change. Event will run rain or
shine.

I'm gonna sign up right now. went out with u guys last month at willowsprings. these guys make it safe and fun at the same time. don't worry, there are no little punk kids that drive reckless, everyone out there drove with respect for others on the track. If u going, look for my silver RX8, I still don't have my lic plate yet so i shouldn't be hard to find. stop by and say whats up, we can chill and trade racing technics. :D
