Thunderhill Track Day June 4

Thunderhill Track Day June 4
My friend Aaron Tachibana is hosting a track day at Thunderhill, in Willows, CA, on June 4, 2004; cost is $250.
Anyone who has been to one of Aaron's many track days before knows how great they are. He has instructors, corner workers, chalk talks, etc. These events are not races. They are just for fun and self-education. If your car can pass a basic safety inspection and you have a proper helmet you can go out for a day of lapping as fast as you're comfortable going. You can ride shotgun with an instructor, have an instructor ride shotgun with you, or drive by yourself.
All makes of car are welcome. Miatas predominate, but there are also M3s, 993s, 996s, Vettes, WRXs, MR2s, Z cars, etc. You can class yourself in the slower or faster group based upon your comfort level. There are no trophies and there is no competition. Passing is allowed only in certain straightaways, and only if someone waves you by. Safety is the top priority. I have been to quite a few of these events and have seen only a few fender benders, with no injuries.
The Thunderhill track is a terrific road course with a lot of safety features. Read about it here: http://www.thunderhill.com/. You can also read about one of Aaron's track days here: http://www.miata.net/misc/laguna99.html.
Aaron broke his leg badly at a Laguna Seca event last March (freak accident--he was climbing over a fence and fell wrong), and this track day will mark his return. I pasted some excerpts of his message below, with his e-mail address. Please don't reply to me, but to him. This is not my event; he just asked me to paste this message for him and I may try to help him purely as a volunteer. Thanks. P.S. I suspect the event is filling up fast--they usually do, so please reply to him ASAP if you're interested.

Hello All,
TRACK TIME!!! To commemorate my almost one year absence .. I have scheduled a Track Day at Thunderhill on June 4, 2004! I am hoping that many of you would like to participate with me and help me get back into the saddle again! It has been too long and I dearly miss the camaraderie and fun times we all shared. ... Anyone and everyone is welcome! Any make model of car, Miata to Yugo!
... Cost is $250.00 and if you can remember...all the things that I have previously provided in my track events apply! ...
Thank you!
