i ordered with their tuning service and it was delivered in about a week. Their customer service was suprisingly good. I had to reach out to them as it was unavailable on the site, it was the last one available they said. Im looking to add a small cooler also to keep temps healthy also.
look up Just Track It on Facebook. Nabil is the owner. Great guy who came from 8club. He does trackdays out at Barbers so you can sign up for a day with him. Jzilla and Chen also do trackdays at Barber. Look into doing one at AMP in GA. Awesome track that reminds me of barbers but with less speed.

Chen in a pain in the ***, their events sell out ultra fast. Pca at barber does as well, i get wait-listed generally which sucks. Ill check out just track it. There is mini talledega near barber also, may try that just to have some seat time.
Both GA tracks are about 8 hours away so well within easy range. I visited amp on my way home with the car, seemed like a great track.
Lil Tally is my local track(roughly 25mins from my home). Find their facebook page. A good friend of mine's wife manages the track. They do at least one open track day a month(sometimes more) and there is literally about 10cars each time I've been to the track and ran open car nights. it's basically run as much as you want for 4-5hrs. If you happen to go to lil tally, let me know. Would love to come take a look at the swap. The track is by far my favorite. Only because it is so short I can try out different lines and have more time to practice what I know I messed up on before. Eats the front right tire though. Had to call it early one day because of it.
I've never used Chen but I can assure you the "Just track it" is top notch. A lot of the instructors have moved on from their RX-8 but will be willing to help you and I'm sure want to at least experience the swap with a ride-a-long.
Appreciate the feedback!
just as a side note, there may be an opportunity to put a getrag 7 speed dct in my car. Haven't decided anything yet.
thought anymore on this. With a DCt I think this swap sounds super promising as I hate the shifter feel of the chevy manual not to mention the many upsides to how fast the dct is or how much more attention you can pay to driving without having to heel-toe/shift
Mixed feelings. Dct would be awesome in many ways. The mv5 is not great for street and autox, 1 2 shifts at high rpm tend to not be smooth at all. It generally sticks going into first. Tons of Camaro guys complain about that so i assume its a factory defect. It works fone on track. The ratios on track are decent and fairly close. 3,4,5 give me everything ive needed so far and are smooth as can be. I havent needed to be over 130 ish for the most part.
Its mainly a track car though so i hesitate to spend the money when the part works for my main use. Dct is a class bump in a lot of cases also. It sure would be fun though!
Ill try get up there in the next month or so and ill let you and dragger know. Pm me a # and ill txt you. The more buddies at the track the merrier.
Are you running the stock steering rack? Did you retain power steering (electric-assist) and if so, how did you manage it? If not, those wheels / tires must be a real workout, no?

Have factory eps still. Stock ecu runs abs, eps and guages.
I did have the eps atop working while on track once, it wasnt drivable at speed and I had to come off. Replacing the factory eps connectors with something better sealed is in my list of things to do after that experience.
Shop i took the car to for seat roll bar and seat mount sucked. I caught the bad work on seat mounting and took the car home.
The passenger side was so bad you couldn't even sit in it. My head was pressed against the roof, window and oshit handle. Huge haps between metal parts they just filled with with weld wire. Worse welders than me! No prep either. Just welded over paint and the rusty metal they used.
I told the guy i pay for piece of mind and this aint it. Loaded the car up and took it home. They beat my brand new drivers seat up pretty good also.
Ive cut it all out already. Just going to do it myself.
this first pic is my fav. 2 plates tacked. That was supposed to hold the front of the seat......
Scheduled a time with robinson racing over in the atlanta area to get the cage work done. The shop as far as i can tell has a sterling rep. 5-6 hour drive according to Google.
Long time with no updates. My experience with Robinson Racing was great. 100% worth the drive. Before anyone says anything about the door bars, i know. I requested them that way. Its very easy to get in and out and I dont have any door to door racing plans.
Managed to get covid, it want terrible but i have some brain fog and tire out fairly easy. Hopefully it passes with time.
Ill be at barber oct 1st and 2nd with pca if anyones in The area and whats to shoot the ****.
I’m not sure what you guys even mean, how is that a hill to die on? It was intended as a joke, and about me, but it seems like you read it entirely the wrong way or in some manner I’m not getting.
@Mike D Great build. I just picked up an RX-8 for Keisler LFX swap and am reading everything I can find on actual track use for this swap. Have you given any more thought to the DCT option? Has Andrew worked out the engineering behind this in an RX-8 yet?
Andrew told me that he's switched from the getrag DCT to the Ford/GM 10 speed. The 2019+ 3.6L LGX Camaro has a 10-speed option which bolts right up to the LFX. This seems to require the '19+ ECU, BCM, and TCM, some connector repinning, and computer reprogramming through HP Tuners. He thinks the conversion should be fairly easy and is working on a prototype car now.
I'm in line for a swap now and it's been a minute since I've checked in on his progress with the 10 speed. Might send him an email and see how he's doing.

I have my car in line for the LFX swap, and during our initial conversation Andrew mentioned that he left the Getrag DCT experiment behind for the Ford/GM 10 speed. The 10L60 is an option for the LGX camaros that apparently also bolts right up to the LFX. He's working on a prototype car for it and anticipates a fairly easy conversion overall.
