Tracks you've been to

Just got back from first time at Sebring. Wow. Highly recommended. It got me thinking. How many road course tracks have I been to? For fun:

Putnam Park, Indiana
Mid-Ohio, Ohio
Road America, WI
BeaverRun, PA
Gingerman, MI
Waterford Hills, MI
Grattan, MI
Lime Rock, CT
Mosport, Ont CA
New Jersey Motorsports Park, NJ
VIR, VA
CMP, SC
BlackHawk Farms, IL/WI
Autobahn C.C., IL
Roebling Road, GA
Road Atlanta, GA
Barber, AL
Watkins Glen, NY
MAM, Iowa
Miller, UT
Willow Springs, CA
St. Pete GP, FL
Long Beach GP, CA
Toronto GP, ON CA
Sebring, FL

Edit: Forgot a few.

Daytona
Nashville MotorSpeedway
Iowa Speedway
Brainerd, MN
High Plains Raceway, CO

12 of those I've been hit, had someone hit me or met a tire wall at either high or slow speed. Been upside down once, backwards at over 100 several times, bump draft pushed at 140, one car totalled (Barber spec miata knucklehead hit me), a few track records and a bunch of beers at local watering holes. We should probably start a thread on all the great little places to eat and drink as I can think of several.

25 tracks. Wow. The funnest? The last one you just came from naturally. See you at the track.

Edit, Edit: Homestead Speedway, FL

Eric

I don't have quite the list that you do. I only raced in SCCA amature classes in the Great Lakes area. I do have one that you don't, Michigan International Speedway (road course).
I was hammered in the side at Gratten, MI
Road America was the only track where I had to abandon the car (the gravel trap at turn 12).
The funnest is Gratten. It's like driving your car on a roller coaster.

Imola
Vallelunga

Spa-Francorchamps
Nurburgring

That's definitely not a huge list but attending events is expensive here and the gas price doesn't help if you have to travel 5\700 km to a track

I've raced at NJMP and Englishtown Raceway, NJ. I spunout twice @ NJMP...once because I didn't follow the line correctly...once because my rear brake pads went at the end of the day.

Hopefully this year I'll add Watken's Glen and Pocono Raceway to my list.

The guys on the Ga Rx8 club were figuring out how many track miles they had driven with there cars. It added up quickly.
If I remember correctly mine was over 3,000 miles?
Rd Atlanta
Barber
Roebling
TGR (little Talledaga)
VIR-(hopefully soon)
Hitting Sebring this year--only track that looks like I will not know which way to go?
For some reason I have more fun at Roebling than anywhere else--so far. Barber has too many dang turns. Road Atlanta is a monster.
I have never spun, or went off track. Sure rear end has gotten a little loose before but i have always (so far) caught it. I am not the slowest out there.

You guys are right... we're lucky.
Too bad that the overall price of an open pit track day is around 950€ when you take gas, tyres and common tear and wear into account since I live in Rome.
Vallelunga is fun and close to my place though!

Sumit Point Motorsports Park:
- Summit Point Raceway (Main course)
- Shenandoah Circuit (with replica Karussel)
- Jefferson Circuit (short, very technical, fun)
- Washington Circuit (kart/autocross track)

Virginia International Raceway (VIR)
- North Course
- Full Course
- Grant East (aka Grand Equalizer where a little RX-8 can eat 500 HP monsters!)

Watkins Glenn

That's it on my too-short list for having been a track **** for 15 years, but I've done SPR and VIR so often I can almost drive them blindfolded.

CalMotorSpeedway ("Autoclub") "Roval" and short course
Las Vegas MotorSpeedway
Spring Mountain

Inde Motorsports Ranch
Arroyo Seco
Arizona Motorsports Park

I did a lap of the 'Ring in a VW Golf. Wasn't exactly "competitive".

Probably more that I've forgotten...

Looks like I'll finally hit Laguna Seca in April. Chuckwalla is on the tentative schedule.
I'd like to hit the other Northern Cali tracks.

So far (all races; never done a track day)

Carolina Motorsports Park, a bunch of times
Nelson Ledges -- an awesome track
Gingerman

Will finally be on NJMP this April. Hoping to do a track day there in March, and a track day at Pocono in July. It would be nice to actually get the 8 out on a track.

Hopefully I get to do Thunderhill this year and if I ever buy a car manufactured in Europe, I am doing European Delivery (even if I have to pay more) and will get her on the ring!

Most likely the only tracks I'll get to see for a while but I can't complain

"Bucket list" includes Mosport, Mid-Ohio, Road Atlanta, Barber, Road America and the longshots; Laguna Seca, Thunderhill, Sonoma. Spa, Circuit de la Sarthe and the Nurburgring are fantasy.

1st post!

Little Talledega
Road Atlanta
VIR (North and Full)
Roebling Road
Carolina MP
Barber
Mid-Ohio
Hallett
Motorsport Ranch Houston (both directions)
Motorsport Ranch Cresson (1.7 CCW)
Texas World Speedway (2.9 both directions)
Eagle's Canyon
Miller

I've autocrossed in 6 different states as well - and will be sure to add to that with the recent acquisition maybe a track or two with the w-t-w race MR2. I'm sure this RX8 will end up as the replacement race car at some point down the road though
