Used Competition tires

I put a WTB in the parts sale/wanted froum...

Looking for any serious competitiors who have used tires from this past season. I used an old set of 710s this past summer, not bad considering they had a season of use already by a Nationals competitor.

I'm on a tight budget, so I'm not too picky as long as they have some life left for next season.

Thanks.

Not me I am a cheap bastard... I go to 100 runs then send them down the road.

The tires on our car right now were the 2005 natls tires.

I know, I was just poking fun at you

I would have no problem buying 50-60 run tires for local events, if I was just interested in trying DOT R's. The Kumhos are amazing tires, my last set on the Z06 I was just as fast (on excellent concrete) at 100 runs as I was at 50 runs, based on consistent benchmarks.

I've got a set of 40-50 run tires leftover from buying imp's car. 245 V710s from early this season. Located in Dallas, but I'll ship for the right price. Email me at iain <at> s2000 <dot> org.

Do you have a spare set of wheels as well? I'd be interested in "renting" the wheels and paying you for the tires to just experiment next season a bit but I don't have a spare set of wheels to mount them right now.

No spare wheels, but if you check the classifieds used sets seem to turn up pretty regularly for $300-400.

I have the following

4 245/45/17 V710 (I just wore off the treads, 40 runs on them)
2 255/40/17 RA-1s (50% worn)
2 235/45/17 RA-1 (70% worn)
1 235/45/17 RA-1 Just turned into slick
1 235/40/17 RA-1 Just turned into slick

The V710 you can have for free if you pay for mounting on my new tires
the 255 you can have for $120
the okay 235 you can have for $75
the other slick ones you can have for free.

I am in CT. $150 if you want the 255 and 235

RA's are great tires and the 235/40 gives you a great final drive reduction, helping that out of the hole jump we need. I have approx 800 track miles on mine and they look hardly used. olddragger

Then it's got to be those auto-x's that where my tires out.
