I just read that there were five cars that had contact with stuff that day. Most of them curbs and K rails.

What was he doing? Drag racing?
Even with the right setup, he was moving too fast.

The word has come down from the stadium... After March 18th, must already have an event setup, there will no longer be drifting at Qualcomm.

From another forum:

"The official word from Qualcomm Stadium is that they will never allow any type of drifting on their property after March 18th 2006.

Reasons: Noise, Lot appearance, Liability. "

I'm glad that it didn't affect the auto-xers at the stadium. Auto-x doesn't leave 1/2 as much rubber on the asphalt as drifting does.

Not so much the rubber on the ground as all the trash and parts of tires.

These four are sequential frames during another crash - notice the street traffic ...

Darwin was hard at work at that event. Good thing the Z had all those decals- I think they held the hood together.

That is some scary stuff. That anyone even thinks that they are autocrossing is a problem. Autocross is about car control. I am guessing that other drift organizations are going to be pissed at this group too. What in the hell are they thinking allowing the the course to go that close to the curbs? And that camera guy is going to be maimed or dead within a year if he keeps that up.
