Volk Racing 17x10 +44 ???
Hey 8Club!
Found a set of used VR CE28N for an incredible price and couldn't say no. I've read of members fitting what I'd consider to be very large wheels and greatly appreciate any relevant input.
My immediate thoughts were to run a 275/40 Toyo RR or NT01. Big difference in performance and price but there seem to be few tire options in the 17" dept. I'll probably add 10-15mm spacers all around as well.
Anyone have experience running a similar size wheel? What size tire did you decide to run? Any issues encountered?
Thanks in advance!

i have 17x10 rota's, forget offset. and run toyo slicks for auto cross, i dont use spacers cause they fit awesome.
and i run 255's in the front and 275's in the rear, and car handles and drives great for auto-x

They fit perfect without spacers and smaller diameter tire. You’ll probably have to do some fender lip work on 275/40 especially with those spacers.
Rota is +50mm as I recall. This is about max backspacing with 10” before the wheel lip starts rubbing on the control arms at full steering lock.

Great to know and much appreciated!!! I'll update when I've decided on a tire (most likely NT01, vg price imo). Really interested in trying to fit the 275/40 and then see what advantages in mechanical grip they offer (if any) over the 255's.
I figure the rear wheels trying to turn that extra weight / mass shouldn't be too detrimental to other areas of my car's performance.

17x10 +50 Rota RT5-R2 needed a light shave on the front calipers, but they fit. barely rubbed the rear inner shock arches. i'm interested in the new konig hypergram 17x10 +43 from goodwin racing.

Well don’t forget the Enkei RPF1 17x10 +38 at only 16.9 lbs each for about the same cost.
Also the same in 18” at 18.5 lbs.
the outer wheel lip position is equivalent to a 10.5” +43, so it should still fit and clear fine.
