Weightloss program : lose 75 lbs of useless fat in 25 mins
thought this migh be usefull for some of the weekend track warriors out there .
This takes less than 1/2 hr to do and the 75 lb (approx) weight reduction makes quite a difference when you are hurling your 8 around a track at breakneck speeds.
Itemised :
Back seats approx 22lbs (edited )
Floor mats
Rear boot lining ( not a lot of weight in this )
Jack & jack tool kit carrier
Puncture repair kit
Air pump - make sure you block off the vac hose if you do this
Was going to include the small (lead acid) battery I bought as well but have since found I can leave this in and it starts with no problems - even in winter . This saved an additional 15.5 lbs .
If anyone has any other suggestions of easy to remove stuff I'm happy to add it to the list . Please weigh it I say how long it take to remove .

There is no way the back seats weigh 45 lbs Maybe 20 if your lucky.....I had mine out for about 3 months...and got really tired of the noise...didn't realize how quiet it is with the seats for insulation.
You want to really loose weight..take out the front seats and put in racing seats.....especially if you have leather power seats..

Ok - I admit I'm going from memory on the seats - I could be mixing up my kgs and lbs . Edit : Corrected
However - I did weigh all that stuff together by picking it all up and stepping on the scales - 34 kgs (75 lbs)
the point of the thread was not so much about permanent weight saving tips but what can easily be taken off in under 1/2 hr so as not to be much of a hassle for say once a month track days - which a lot of people seem to do .
