What Class are you in?

Just wondering what the other 8's were running in.

This is my first year in AutoX, and I have been placed in SM for some of the mods I have done to my car. I have been advised that i could run in STU, but was just wondering what everyone else is in, and how they are holding up.

SM, bc my bbk doesnt have calipers that moubnt in their stock position, wtf

i get my *** kicked all the time, i built it for track days not autox. if i wanted to be competitive in autox id put the stock brakes back on, they were great for autox but death wish on the road course!

no mid rpm grunt ftl

Roxie, I think you are mistaken. If your BBK caliper mount attaches to the same holes as the OE caliper bracket, which I'm not aware of any BBK that doesn't, it is legal for ST.

This is also my first year of running SCCA Solo II. I can't decide if I want to stay in B-Stock and buy tires or go STU with some more daily driver fun mods (Air intake, Springs, etc).

What is funny is that here in Louisville, the B-Stock runs just a second or so slower then BSP but the STU class is about 3 seconds faster. I know drivers have a lot to do with this. The reason I am thinking about STU is that first I hate doing the tire trailer and change out, lazy I know, and I have a MazdaSpeed wing that I take off for B-Stock. I know there are posts with this debate on the forum just wondering how any 8's have done in STU this year?

I edited to add this question: Is anyone with a Pettit SC running SM and if so how have you done?

team, my calipers dont bolt literally onto the stock holes. there is a bracket i needed to use that came with the kit.....the bracket goes onto the moutning holes and the bracket has holes on them to run the bolts for the caliper....kind of like an adapter plate

i just did what i was told and they put me in SM....doesnt bother me completely bc i do autox just for fun, the road course is what i take very seriously, autoxi do just to fillthe boring sunday afternoons....

yes, your caliper mounting bracket attaches where the OE caliper bracket attaches, this is ST legal
