What happened to Speed Source at Mid-Ohio???
I missed most of the race. When I had to leave Ham was running first and the Edwards Pontiac had pitted several times, one mandantory and one due to him not being able to see due to a fogged up windshield???

I watched bits and pieces of the race. The started off ok in the dry, but I think they just didn't have a good setup and were off pace in the wet. I know the 70 slid off into a wall at one point, but did get back going with very minor damage.

I was there up until the rain. There was something wrong with the 69 and it didn't actually start running on the pace laps and started the race at the end of the pack. It had made significant process to get to near the middle of the pack before the rain hit.
The 70 looked like it was running great when it was dry.
Once the rain came all bets were off. The track was a complete mess and really on the very first lap in the rain there was so much rain on the course that the cars just started going off on every corner.
Here's an article that gives some info:

Was there for the whole race. The #70 car was consistently driving the wet line. Why? Not a clue, except that they were testing it here and there...but the #70 was basically keeping a line like it was dry. Despite, with the conditions and all the spinouts and such where they finished was respectable.

The 69 started on pit road for a driver swap. The 70 was doing well and then there was a small excursion into the sand...I guess Nick felt like he needed a day at the beach after meeting some of us and all the rain. :P Generally I think they did ok...but just weren't handling the rain very well.

Didn't get to meet them. We spent a little time with the Meyer Motorsports team - also a thumbs-up to them. In the ST class I think their RX-8 started 32, and finished 21.

Spent a lot of time in their paddock area at Homestead. Sylvain made sure I got some nice pics and one with him. Could not talk them out of one of their shirts though. One of their mechanics told me they were having a rough time with the Pirelli's and the right front tire was getting chewed up pretty bad after a few laps. They worked hard on that right front to correct the problem.
