What shoes do you wear ?

Just curious what people wear on the track.

Im partial to Piloti's.

Just ordered a pair of G16's as they'll also be my weekend shoes.

Puma Trionfo Mid Pro II....

Incredibly light and comfortable. Best racing shoes I've owned by far... foot cramps during long stints are a thing of the past!

Ditto, great for heel-toe pedal work. Plus the faux carbon fiber heel is a must! I have the Scuderia Ferrari ed.

Puma Speed Cats
Adidas Samba Classic (red, not black)
Adidas Race ($20 at Marshalls)
Sparco Speedway

Pilotis don't work for my feet/legs.

My one metro tendency is a shoe habit.

Actually, the Trinfo Mid PRO features a Nomex/Suede upper, REAL carbon fiber heel with a rubber sole.... the retail (non-motorsport) Puma products do without the carbon fiber and opt for faux carbon heel.

The Mid Pro retails for about US$260.00 LOL

Piloti G16 for me. The wife wears Coach, I think it was the most expensive pair of shoes she could find to drive in that are not fire proof, she has a bit of a shoe problem.

I tried my Pumas and they are just not as comfortable for long periods of driving, but now that parts of the sole are gone they have may have to get replaced.

I have Puma Speedcats, but I've been driving in my Vans recently and suddenly I can heel/toe when I never could before! I think the larger surface area helps me since I have small feet, sorry Puma.

Nothing a wider throttle pedal won't cure. Flat piece of aluminum with anti-skid tape or something on it will fix you right up.

Other cars have the problem even with my big feet in decently wide shoes. I want to say, if you know how to do rev-matched shifts smoothly and for some reason can't do them in a car, it's the car's problem, not yours. I can do it in flip-flops with my Bimmer, and expect the same in the 8.

Adidas Goodyear Tuscany's.

Bought them about a week before I bought my RX8, drove in them everyday for 2 years. The heels are polished to a smooth shine from the carpets, and the soles are worn through at the peddles. I have retired them from being everyday shoes to my 'track day only' shoes to extend their useful. Best driving shoes Ive ever had, and great for heel toeing.

Now Im working on breaking in a new pair of Puma's.

Piloti Prototipos, at first I thought they were a bit bulky with a sole that was too thick but I like them after a few events. Also liked Puma speedcats and Adidiracers but they suck to walk in for corner working.
