I think, if you look at the rule section quoted by Steve above, you might change your opinion...btw, what are "clear corners", anyhow? Are those the ones that you've gotten through without hitting any cones? Oh, I'm sorry, those are "cleared corners"....anyhow, if we're talking about tail light lenses or something, it's a non-performance enhancing "comfort, convenience and appearance" item and legal for all classes, as far as I can tell.

Here's a spy shot of some good body roll from an autox today. Anyone recognize the number?

OK< Bryan (Heitcotter, current ES National champ and also a very good photographer!) found a better shot in his files to illustrate RX8 body roll. Still my car, still on the grippy Atwater concrete, but this time from the front...

Now you guys made me jealous!

Sorry, don't have one of the '8, but here's my turbo Miata entering the front straight at Summit Point. Speed here is a bit higher than your typical autocross...

BTW - I blame the roll on the weight of the instructor!

Mazdamaniac the instructor looks like he is nervous or holding on for dear life by the look on his face.

Nah. I actually thought he might fall asleep at first.
It wasn't until we started overtaking the Corvettes that started the course before us when he seemed to wake up.

They looked like they were having fun. Jim hit the inside cone on the first gate (comment: OMG this thing actually turns) and Carter almost came to a complete stop the first time he hit the brakes.

Too funny. Sounds like their first experience was like almost everyone's.

I'm going to miss this car. We put the stock shocks back on Saturday. It feels so soft, sloppy, and unresponsive...and it looks like a monster truck with the stock shocks' increased ride height and short sidewall tires (225/40 Hankook RS2).

I see from the results that Sparky put away the #2 guy from nats in his first RX8 event. Something about going from a Z to an RX8 that does not work.

To bad they will only get faster. I am sure much faster.

btw are those the wheels and tires from the Z on there?

Yep, kinda looked BSP sticking out the extra 15mm, but no rubbing that I know of. BTW it was their old set with 120+ runs on it which explains the result. Won't be long till their running away from me, i'm just hoping to tag along in the draft.
