bumper scrape fixed
My rx8 is black, my chevy is black. If you have ever seen a scrape on a black plastic bumper, it looks like a white line, feels rough to the touch, looks like it went straight through the paint.
I left work to find someone had scraped up about 10 inches of my front bumper on the vette. Just took out a Porter Cable 7424xp, speed setting 4 or 5, orange CCS pad, and with some Pinnacle advanced swirl remover, removed the ugly scratch in about 10 seconds. The white line, 1cm wide, 10 inches long, is gone. It feels smooth to the touch, and is black again and shiny. The stuff I used wasn't even that abrasive, I didn't think it would work.
Based on appearances I had assumed it would be a $2000 paint job. Really amazed at how the black color came back when it looked like it was completely scratched through the paint to the base.
Guess the buffer paid for itself many times over.
