Car got keyed
#26
my car has been egged twice, scratched up my trunk and spoiler, and then big scratches on my driver side door. this happened right inf ront of my house. lucky for me the body shop i goto is really nice and they did a nice job at covering up the scratches... but they are still there.
sorry to here bout your misfortunes..
i guess mine happened since i live up the street from the high school.

I guess I'm lucky, Austin has alot of new money so there are tons of expensive cars rolling around per capita and my rx gets left alone.... Though usually I park so far away I need GPS to find where I was going.

damn. sorry to hear about this cats. i suggest doing an aggressive detail polishing over the scratch and see if it helps.
my neighbor's dark blue metallic audi TT got keyed a while back. and, he asked me to take a look at it. and, when i first looked and touched it- it looked pretty bad. i could catch my fingernail in the groove of the scratch slightly. but, since we had nothing to lose, i went ahead and washed that area and then i broke out the porter cable w/ some sonus sfx-1 with an light orange cutting pad. and, after a few passes, it actually was enough to make the scratch barely visible anymore- ie unless u knew exactly where to look, you'd never see it. i was pretty surprised myself, because i've had lighter hairline scratches on my car that are smooth to the touch- that won't come out no matter what i do. god likes to torment me i guess... <LOL> anyways, i finished it w/ a white polishing pad with sonus paintwork cleanser and it looked great.
btw. i didn't know u moved up north. i was wondering why i never see u on my a.m. commute anymore on Melrose ave.
give it a try and let us know.

I had my car keyed.
Motherf*ckers that do it are such jealous b*tches.
Car alarms and security cameras are your friends, so use them.
If you guys ever catch one of those motherf*ckers have them prosecuted to the full extent possible and every dime wrung out their dumb ***. Or just beat their ***. You should be able to claim temporary insanity if you catch them in the act.

I know EXACTLY how you feel... My car got keyed on the second week i had it. Accept mine was deeper and only on one door. luckily my buddy works for a body shop... He re did my door while he installed my body kit... So all i paid for was materials. But i understand how you feel bro... good luck getting that fixed.

rx-8's are still a novelty in beverly hills
i see more aston martins, lambo's, ferraris, bentleys, and jags in my neighborhood than 8's. it's gotten to the point where, i don't even photograph them anymore... hahaha. how sad is that!
well, welcome back to socal soon i guess. if u see a black 8 gt w/ oem wing & rotary accents + bone stock then it's probably me.

this is scary stuff. I guess I'm just lucky that nothing like this has happened to me.
I guess I was parked on a side street one day while I was parked at work and something hit me right in my driver side clear corner. It left a nasty black mark that I was able to gently scrape off (after trying to clean it and scrub it to no avail), so it's not noticeable at all. But I can be sure that was an accident.
I just pray that none of these malicious things happen to me, and my sympathies go to out to those of who've had it happen to you.

This is what I could've done to fix your scratch. This is an 08 Altima(brand new) that had a bad scratch in the quarter panel. Blended the quarter and the bumper because it had been hit in the back as well.
Before (I started sanding on the scratch)
After
