Just did mine this weekend with Turtlewax ICE Liquid Clay Bar. Worked great!

i just used mothers clay bar kit that i bought for 16.99. it was the best 17 bucks i have ever spent in my life. well except when i went to mexicali and got a couple of lap dances from hot mama citas for 15 bucks. back to the clay, it was freakin' amazing! a fly couldn't even touch down on my car after clay barring it. i know folks like turtlewax and zaino in this forum but none of those companies got an rx8 in their main page! go check it out! go to mothers, there's a picture of a red rx8! i love mothers even more.

yeah lots of folks love zaino. i go claybar, klasse AIO, klasse SG. usually only do it 2x per yr.

mother's is ok. but I prefer others (Sonus lube & clay works...see autopia-carcare.com)

I found Clay Magic claybar to work really well and be comparable to the Mother's yellow bar. So far it's my favorite claybar, has never let me down. I had some Four Star clay that was ever so dry on the outside. Everything else seems like a worse deal, but no gain.

Rovic, what do you like more about the Sonus clay & lube? (Over Mother's, for example?)

Oh ZainoJedi... I wanna do my first full Zaino treatment this weekend, but I think I read that it's not good to do it on a hot day. You do though, right?

it's fine to do it on a hot day as long as you're not in direct sunlight. In otherwords, you'll need a garage or a carport at the least.

I'm just about to start the claybar processs.

Sonus lube & clay is suppose to be more gentle than OTC clay. I think I read when you clay you also remove a itsy bit of clearcoat.

While I do the whole car 2x a yr, every time I get tar, tree sap, or any other hard to remove gunk I spot clean with the clay bar.

It's more because the mothers's cleaning wax is garbage to me. I hate buying stuff that I just thow away. Plus the mother's bar seems to stick at times and you have to remove clay with the clay.
