Comparison: Meguirres NXT2 Techwax VS Zymol Wax
Gentlemen,
I need some help deciding whether "Zymol Wax" is a better choice for our car club here in British Columbia Canada. I've tried so many other brands, and many different brand wax products, and so far, for the money, Meguirres NXT2 Techwax is a resounding success with our club.
Since this is club money we are talking about, I don't want to spend it without results. So I would have to buy Zymol out of my own pocket, and frankly... I really don't want to, I LOVE NXT. So for us to "try" zymol, it would be mostly to say "See! we did try it!".
Anyone have expererience with either of these products? is Zymol worth the money? compared to the same results of NXT?
How much of the Zymol do you use in one coat?
Can you layer Zymol like you can layer Zaino?
How long does it last?
Does it take longer to apply that NXT? or is it harder to work with?
These things matter when you are (Washing/ClayBar/DeepCrystal/NuFinish/NXT) on five RX8 in one day. Just added deep crystal to the workshop, and I DON'T recommend it unless you have an electric orbital, and a power source. We didn't and my friggen arms are destroyed getting that product to work.
Any thoughts or advice I would GREATLY appreciate!
Looking forward to your help on this matter.
Cheers!

NXT is more of a sealant than a wax I find...
This is typically what I use...
Poor boys 2-2.5 level polish
2 coats Klasse AIO
2 coats Klasse Sealant
2 coats Gold Class (there is some stuff that is MUCH better than this but it's hard to find locally)
and 2 coats NXT =)
The reason I use different waxes/sealants is for durability and each one adds a different effect to the paint.
But there are some really nice stuff, since you live in canada check out www.eshine.ca the Klasse stuff works VERY well...better than Zymol (of comparable price! it won't be as good as the $2000 Zymol wax) IMO. If you want to read up some more go to http://www.autopia.org/ (a car detailing forum) and research.
http://www.automagic.biz/ is also pretty good for their products. But I suggest you do research before buying so you don't end up experimenting so much and save you tons of cash =)

I didn't know that... I mean "I did not know" that NXT and NXT2 were that different. Come to think of it, your right, the new one it doesn't fog the trim. PS: Love your signature Leesha!
Also, now that it was mentioned about the Meguires Gold Class Wax, I have often wondered what is the difference between the NXT and Gold Class.
From what I see, the NXT is spot on, for what we need, and that is a hard shiny sealant that covers the previous layer, which is "NuFinish". Nufinish is so successful in our workshops we run out of it faster than NXT. It is the basic staple of our workshop, the one product that must be applied before anyone is allowed to leave, lol.
I would never favor NXT over NuFinish or vice versa. Both of these products are sensational, and I highly recommend trying both. NuFinish first, NXT after.
Never tried "Black Hole". However, I promise you I will now. We are currently using "Back to Black" by "Mothers". B2B is good, and the best I've tried so far, but I hate "Mothers Products" in general. The quality is inconsistent. If i can get away from Mothers.. then I will.
My brother has a 2002 protege. We clay-bared the car, and electric buffed Meg-Deep Crystal Polish, then applied Nufinish. His car was glistening. Driving behind another vehicle at night, you could almost see the license plate of the car in front better off the hood than in real life. We ran out of time to use NXT, but IMHO NXT is a spectacular "final" enhancement. I promised him we'd apply it later. Nufinish was what I wanted on the car right away. It's like a "Teflon" coating on a frying pan, for your car. Dirt and grim just can't stick to it well.
It's been two weeks now. He still remains staggered at how clean his car remains. Now I can't wait to add NXT2, as it raises the bench mark even more.
I really love these two products!! I stand 100% behind all Meguires products, they have earned their reputation and I will never have anything but gratitude for their products. Meg- sets the benchmark for me for "result" & "value". - having said that, I wouldn't mind testing "Natty's" products. There are still some products I haven't tried.

Yeah.. I've seen it, and I really want to get some. Thing is... getting the "red" flavor means it's best used on red (perhaps only used?). I have 32 Rx8s in the club... and they are not all red.
Also the workshop is free (Can you believe that!!?) so I want to keep the costs down. (The workshop is run by donation only - I mention that at the end of the workshop when the members are staring in disbelief at their "new" car. Haha thankfully I have no fear about funding the workshop)
