Dupont Car Care Products

Dupont is trying to build up the introduction of their new line. In my current issue of Road and Track there is a coupon for any free Dupont car care product (after rebate). There are probably other magazines with the same offer. You'll just need to mail in the rebate form and a copy of the receipt. You can only redeem one rebate per household though. It looks interesting because they have a ton of new products including waxes, protectant, tire shine, car wash, wheel cleaner, etc. They are incorporating the name Teflon in their product which caught my eye.

I thought the market for car care is already saturated as it is, so I think they feel strongly about their product. I only saw a couple of products available at my local walmart, so I guess this will be the thread to review their products.

Food for thought. Dupont is now using the trade name Teflon for anything that beads water. Even though there is no Polytetrafluoroethene (Teflon) in the product.

I've been using DuPont's wheel cleaner and I'm satisfied with it -- but keep in mind I've never even bothered to clean wheels before, so I can't tell you how it compares with other products.

(And yes, they do call it Teflon.)
