Question Good Engine Degreaser?

Hey guys I am going to be cleaning my engine bay in the next day or two for a car show next Friday and was wondering what would be a good degreaser to use? I don't have time to order online. Also, could I use Aerospace 303 as the protectant after I degrease? Thanks.

simple green ftw. its bio-degradeable, smells good, and did i mention....its bio-degradeable?

i'm sure this has been posted, and i've recommended the same thing. its really good to have a gallon around. dilute it to wash your hands after working on car, and some for keeping the actual engine bay clean.

works wonders and is safe for you.

Yeah that is what I was thinking of getting because it is the only one I know they have in stock around town. It won't ruin any of the plastic or hoses will it?

no. i'm pretty sure it won't. its bio-degradeable... it won't even eat your skin!
you'll be safe. the only thing is that it does take out the oil...so you'll either want to use some light lube like armorall or some tire shine to get that wet look back. or you'll have dry water spots...the only down-fall from using a really good degreaser.

I am going to get Aerospace 303 and use that as a protectant after using the simple green. What kind of brush do I need?
