I got it done on Friday! Looks great after the CG Pro treatment. I'll try to snap some pictures too.

So you were the one Jim was mentioning? He said someone with an 8 will be there on Saturday

Ha, yeah that was me. YOU must be the one he mentioned to me "we're doing an 8 right now, same color!"

I didn't have a chance to get good pictures there, I had to meet someone for dinner...and now I have to wash it again, because the drive back home got bugs splattered all over again... =/

I do have a question for the CG guys...is it ok to use the Zaino Z6 car wash to wash my car?

Oh, yeah...how does it look!? Looks GREAT! Total mirror finish, not just a semi-reflective surface like before.

Jim said you should not wash the car for a week after the CG application so that it has time to settle...

Well, I guess it goes without saying that you shouldn't have driven it for a week in a bug storm either

...Spent about 2 hours handwashing the damn thing outside my apartment...and then it was dark!

And I have to drive on the freeway first thing in the morning. Oh well, I'll take some pictures anyway!

Anyone who has gotten cystal guard done at a authorized reseller... how much did they charge you? I got a quote for 350 - which sound ludicrous.

$325 including the three year warranty. That means: they are re-doing the car with Crystal Guard Quick twice a year for three years.

They didn't mention that. Where did you hear that was the deal?

Every service provider has his own set of prices. We give them the suggested retail cost, but the sometimes will lower it, or even raise the price. $299 is the standard price for basic application. If you want a three year warranty, add $100 to the price. The warranty is good so you can have maintenace performed on the car when necxessary.

Tamas got the three warranty for $325 because it was a promotional special he took advantage of at CrystalGuard HQ. Not all dealers do this, but since we are the company distributing the chemicals and provide our own in house service, we often cut deals to forum members for their partonage.
I hope that helps...

The price i got includes the warranty... but i am not sure what it was good for because i would still have to pay for crystal quick wax anytime i wanted it. no maintenance included.

The warranty is the maintenance...or at least it should be. I'm still very happy with my CQ application. Thanks guys!

As am I... the Crystal Guard really does make the car shine. I have yet to wash it after the CG Pro application, but that will happen this weekend and then I'll try to snap some pics.
The difference is indeed noticeable on the paint surface... great stuff.
