How to prevent paint from cracking?
So, basically, I have the Autobahn body kit and my car is LITERALLY three inches off the ground. Due to this, I bottomed out my front bumper which did not crack the body kit but left a pretty nasty paint scrape. I touch the paint scrape and it starts flaking off. How do I prevent it from flaking? I'm planning on getting a gray vinyl and covering it up, will this prevent the paint in that area from cracking? Is the paint on my bumper doomed?

No, the kit is not cracked. The paint is only 3 weeks old and I bottomed out pretty hard. Upon closer inspection, after bottoming out, it also created a spider-web like paint cracks. This is the Shine replica of the the Autobahn so it's pretty flexible, I guess that's why it didn't crack the kit. The paint probably cracked from the flex of the kit...

just have it spot blended...i do this all the time for ppl at work. you don't have to repaint the whole bumper. if it were my 8, I wouldn't use a temporary fix like you mentioned...I mean c'mon...it's an 8...we are superior for driving them, gotta keep em looking good!

AdPro as an adhesion promoter, and add a flex modifier to the paint.
The AdPro is a primer coat which etches/bites into the base surface so the paint can bond to it. The Flex modifier will allow the paint to "flex" rather then crack. Both should be available from your paint suplier/ or a body shop.
