meguiar question
i usually use nxt wash and wax, this weekend i found a bottle of meguiars gold wax, supposedly a very good product. Can I use this wax and suddenly change to nxt when im finished with this bottle. Can i touch it up with nxt wax spray even tough im using meguir's gold and not nxt, thanks

no one really knows for sure...NXT is a new product, polymer based and should be able to be applied ON TOP OF the gold class wax...
some say NXT, being a polymer, strips the older wax down...I don't believe that but one thing I think may be true is that some say the NXT polyer cannot be applied more than twice or even once as only one layer of polyers will hold onto the clearcoat of the car...thus if you put a wax over it, the NXT will be a barrier and the other wax will be pulled right off during cleaning...
Lastly...some say NXT can be applied (once or twice) then a layer of Carnubba wax can be put over it for an added level of protection and a deeper shine...better for darker cars
I say...stick to NXT wax...it is easy to put on and buff out plus it costs less for more (and I personally think it looks a little shinier than anything else even gold class)...one thing you may want to consider is that if you have soft water use Meguiars Gold Class car wash soap (called a shampoo/conditioner)...it is really light, smells good and is a plesant experience to use...if you have Hard water...then use the NXT soap since it has built in water softners

The only thing I have noticed is the NXT Spray Detailer/Touch up does not work very well on any finsh besides NXT wax.
I can get Meguiars wholesale at work - and I like the NXT alot - just found the detailer didn't work over other brands/types of waxes very well - was sort of greasy and hard to buff off. Goes on fast and easy over a base of NXT wax.
I agree - leaves a very, very nice shine!
