I'm not sure that you could make a fair comparison between Mother's and Meg's NXT in that regard--a carnauba vs. a synthetic. Of course the carnauba will be glossier; of course the synthetic will last longer. It's possible to appease both products, actually--layer on two coats of NXT and then top it off with the carnauba. That should bring about positive results.

BTW, from my personal experience, NXT lasts, at most, a month and a half. If you're able to get your hands on some, I've temporarily switched over to Meg's Professional Paste Wax #16 and think it's much more durable in this mild winter weather and much shinier (mainly because it contains carnauba).

Wow are you using the same Zaino I am? I will agree they look similar at first (I own a black car trust me on this one), but after a week or two, it isn't even close. And, If you use more than one coat of zaino, the difference starts coming out even more.

My results are pretty subjective, but if you would like a test with some degree of objectivity..

I've linked to that comparison test a number of times as well, but even then, I don't know that I can entirely follow its results. NXT lasts longer than 2 weeks for sure, though it of course doesn't hold up as long as Zaino. I can't make an appearance comparison since I don't think I've ever seen a Zaino'd car in person (or if I did, I didn't know it).

Yeah, Zaino definetly outshines NXT. Its like a mirror.

NXT is a bit shinnier than Zaino esp. in the dark colors but durability is not as good...fortunately if you garage keep your car (and if you garage keep at work) it will last MONTHS...I can personally attest to that fact

Anyone ever try Speed Bead? One of my patients gave me a bottle to try and its freggin great. Its a tad expensive if you buy only one though.

Well I just washed, clay barred, and did one coat of NXT Tech Wax today. Right now my car looks amazing, the black looks really deep and glossy. My car is always parked in my underground garage so I guess I'll see how it does in 2 weeks. I'm hoping that it'll last longer than that; unlike the test from the link above. I usually use Meguires Pro Series #9 and #26, 2 step, but I heard good things about NXT so I thought I'd give it a try.

My friend did the same to his blue WRX today, and on his car it seemed to leave a very, very slight haze, that was hard to completely remove (unlike my car). I think on his Blue WRX the meguries Pro series #26 looked better, but the NXT looks better on mine.

I'm a bigger fan of Meguiar's #26 yellow wax. I prefer the look of carnauba vs the longer lasting synthetic wax, but on cars that I do a full detail for, I'll usually do NXT then follow it with a layer of carnauba.

Ice is nice… but NXT is mo’ betta. I took advantage of the silly-mild temps today to wash and wax my '8 – btw: didn’t we have 18” of snow here a week ago???

For ‘daily’ use, with its ability to be easily applied over black and clear plastic, I’ll continue to use Ice. But my go to [synthetic] wax from now on will be Maguiar’s NXT Tech Wax 2.0. Even when I did stray a bit into plastic borders it wiped right off with no residue. After it quickly dried, it buffed off with ease. Far easier than a carnauba wax.
