Misted w/ Lacquer
Well my VR RX was misted with some kind of lacquer or something the other day pretty bad....Anyone have ideas as to how I could get it off or is it time to finally get rid of my orange peel paintjob?

got any pics? My first thought is try a claybar ASAP and see if that does anything.

Never fear....Jedi is here!
As for ClayBar, don't be afraid because it's actually SUPER easy!! I would suggest doing this as quickly as possible because the longer you leave it on, the harder it will be to get off.
Here's what you need to do:
-Wash your car completely
-Get a small spray bottle and add a tiny bit of car wash soap and fill the rest up with water.
-Spray the area you want to clay bar (soapy water is used to lubricate the area)
- glide the clay bar over the area in straight lines. It will pick up unwanted debris / build - up
- It should feel just like a hockey puck gliding across the ice...smoooooooth. If it's not, spray more soapy water.
- If you drop the clay bar, THROW it OUT. Seriously, once that thing hits the ground, it's worthless.
It's an easy proccess, trust me.
What part of the car did you get that stuff on?

you won't scratch the car with a clay bar if you make sure to keep the surface lubricated. I would say you can easily clay an entire RX-8 in under an hour (taking your sweeeet time)
Here's some great tricks from the guys over at Zaino (IMO, the greatest car polish out there) http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...C&Store_Code=Z

Any time, just glad I could help. Let us know how it turns out. If you go to a major autoparts store, they'll have a bunch of clay bars to choose from . Maguires makes good ones as well. Some even come with a small spray bottle with something you can use in place of soapy water. (both work the same)
Good luck! Take before and after pictures for us.
