Mr. Clean is the schizzzzz!
I bought that new gadget by Mr. Clean that you attach to the hose....Its got it's own soap supply along with a filter......NO BUCKETS, NO FUSS.. it claims to rinse your car and leave no spots.....and it actually works.....I used it the first time today and it took all of 15 minutes to wash the car.....another 10 min to do the wheels including drying and tire wet.....no more CHAMOIS for me....check out the proof below:

You really don't have to dry it? Do you just spray it on, or do you still need to wash with a mitt or something? Does it leave any kind of film (like the spray wax stuff at a car wash)? Say it ain't so....or if it is so, I'm outta here to buy some! How much was it, where'd ya get it? Questions questions...

Here's how it works: the gadget has a dial with different settings ie wet, soap, rinse and special rinse....first wet the entire car....then dial to the soap setting...spray soap on designated area to be wash and also spray the mit...then using the mit, wash the area.....dial to rinse, then rinse the area that was washed...move to the next area....just like you would wash your car with anything else....when you are finished washing the whole car then put it on special rinse...this filters the water and it will dry with no spots....honestly it does work...I like being able to get the wash done quickly especially if Im going to wax....time is of the essence on the weekends when you work sooooo hard during the week and of course there is the contest for the sexiest babe with an 8 so I dont want to spend all my time cleaning the car......for waxing I use NXT.....
maybe I exaggerated the time, perhaps it takes 20min..... :D
It certainly beats the hell out of using a chamois!!!!

Nxt is nice, but if you really want your Shinka to shine go the Zaino route. One weekend of hardwork is well worth the end effects. Wash it with Dawn dish soap, clay-bar, then Z-7, then start in with the polish. You will not believe how good it looks nor the amount of stuff you get off with the claybar. Mr. Clean may be nice and easy but c'mon - I wouldn't use the bald guy on my wife's truck.

I use the SUV for imclement weather and off-road traveling...and that goes to the car-wash!!! ...I'm a one-woman operation here so I've got to prioritize!

It seems to me the Mr. Clean route eliminates the chamois/drying towel part, and that's about it. But I find that drying time is valuable in getting to know the curves of my Precious and whether any new pebbles have marred her lovely skin.

The car wash (manaul) does not dry spot-free and costs me $6 in change. I still hand wash it at the car wash. Mr. Clean works out to $1.40 a wash, dries spot-free, and I still hand wash it. Besides, I feel powerful holding that Mr. Clean catraption :p
What's the gimmick?

I did not like it
I did not like the Mr Clean. the flow of "clean" water is not enough. I just wash tires first then car then leaf blower them touch up with the absorber towel.....Maybe I should give it another try.

I hate the thought of sending my girl through the car wash (esp after watching the 16-yr old's eyes light up when he realizes HE gets to drive her into the wash) but I'd much rather have a clean car than dirty.

Hi All,
I use both. Roxy has been claybared, Z-5 and Z-2 with ZFX (3 coats of each) and is redetailed with Z-6 (didn't like Z-8, shows swirls that do not show with Z-6..). To was her, I use the Mr. Clean system. The result is zero (almost) waterspots and no towel drying. The only place it spots is where water pools or leaks (side vents, hood, etc.). It is not really a "gimick" just a way of applying a final filtered water rinse to the car. I have not tried Z-7 through it, but use the Z-7 in the bucket as I hand-wash each area.
