Question No Wax??? -- Any truth!?

A friend of mine mentioned he read on a Nissan site that it was important not to put wax on a Japanese made car due to the chemical differences in the paint the Japanese use versus the paint used on American made cars. Is there any truth to this?

I just placed an order yesterday for my Zaino kit and based on what I saw and another coworkers 350Z's shine, it certainly looks well worth the $90; however I dont' want to do anything that will damage my new car's stunning look ...

Thanks for your input! :D

Well even if it is true (I REALLY doubt it is) you have nothing to worry about since Zaino is not wax but a polymer construct.

Quote from page 8-39, 8-42, RX-8 owners manual:

"It is necessary to have your Mazda washed and waxed to preserve its finish according to the instructions in this section. This should be done as soon as possible."

"Use wax which contains no abrasives."

"Use a good grade of natual wax for metallic, mica, and solid colors."
