Quick paint Question
I need my front and rear lip to be painted by this weekend. I dont have the cash to come up with because shops are asking 2-300 bucks, that was the estimate then theres the labor and dry time. Is it ok to use the Mazda RX8 touch up paint or the dupli color paint for my lips, for a quick and easy job? Thanks!!

Think about it. If it doesn't match almost exactly, its going to stick out and look bad. If you can live without the lip for a while, I would save up and make sure it matches. I guess you paint it manually to hold you over till then but....I would fear it looking like junk, you might be a better painter than I though.

well my car is Brilliant Black. My buddy said you can tell some blacks dont match. But I really need this. I saw some BB Dupli color around,, I might get it. I would have to primer too, right?

don't use touch up paint.
I too have a BB and if you use a duplicolor, it will most likely NOT match.
Sorry but you're best off taking it to a shop and paying their rates unless you want it to look bad.

Simple Advice: Do it RIGHT or don't do it at all.
We're talking about exterior body panels here, not something in the engine bay or brake rotors. Using that much touch up paint or Duplicolor is not going to look good. If the paint isn't an exact match, it will look terrible. You need to sand, primer, paint, and clear coat.
I'd save up the $200 or $300 and get it done properly.
