Road Paint Removal?

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for removing road paint from my car's painted surface. I was driving and the truck that was spray painting the yellow lines in the middle of the road had passed my car, I tried every way to avoid it and had thought I had. When I looked at my car the next day, there was a yellow spot on my front airdam. I have tried wet wash, spray cleaners, even buffing it with Zymol, but nothing seems to remove the smll paint spot. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Call the City/County/State

I would call the city you were in, file a complaint, and get them to pay for a professional to fix your problem. They might be a little reluctant at first, but they have insurance for these things. The bottom line is that your car is yellow because they were careless, and therefore they should pay.

Just do it quickly, most states/cities have quick statutes of limitations on claims.

is it a clay bar-able section? if so...that's about all that will remove paint, aside from acetone and paint thinners...but those remove a bit more than just the spot...

The paint is on the lower part of my front air dam, actually a spot no bigger than a pin head (but it drives me nuts to see it). Would that be considered a clay bar-able section?

The Clay worked perfectly. Can't believe how good a job it did of removing the paint. Thanks...

If the paint is an enamel...it will most likely come off with gasoline or turpintine. Neither will harm the car's finish but will strip any wax off. If the paint is latex based (as in house paint),(doubtful) then denatured alcohol will remove that. You can also try WD-40...that works wonders as well. After that, you'd need to remove it with a clay bar or some other method of compound/cleaner.
