streak & residue-free window cleaner
I've seen the name of the window cleaner posted here before, the one that leaves no streaks, haze, or residue- but I must not be using the right search terms because I'm getting no results on my searches.
Anybody know the name of the stuff I'm looking for, and who sells it?
TIA

+1 for invisible glass. The spray bottle though, not the crazy aerosol.

would a Jedi ever lie to you guys??
Stoner Invisible Glass is getting tougher to find these days. (guess it's getting popular) I had to go to 3 different places to find it. Oh, and they seem to have changed the label so look closely or you'll mistake it for something else

I just got stoner's invisible glass for the first time, it was way better than the mr. clean stuff that left it hazy. its in a plain spray trigger bottle and is a little hard to spot on the shelf, its works very well though.

Here's what I do:
Use dishwashing liquid. That'll get any windscreen squeeky clean. Then polish the glass with a ball of newpaper until glass is nice and smooth. Thereafter, clean your windscreen with a household steam cleaner every couple of weeks.
I always get comments about how my windscreen is so clean it's like there's nothing there.
Just keep an eye out for the people that feel the need to put their finger prints on your windows to check that it's there!!! Grrr...

I've been using Sprayway for a couple of years, this stuff is addictive. It's an alcohol-based foam, no ammonia, so you can use it on film-tinted windows. Long used by detailers, best streak-free results occur using 100% cotton cloth, lint-free, washed without using fabric softeners and dried without dryer sheets. It sells for about $3.50 a can at auto-detail suppliers, http://topoftheline.com/glass-cleane...s-cleaner.html , or Costco sells a pack of four cans. I should be on their payroll as I've referred so many people to this stuff.
Also, an old window cleaning tip to determine whether a streak is on the inside or outside of the window without touching the glass and leaving a fingerprint. Clean the outside of the window using a horizontal motion and the inside with a vertical wipe. Then, you just determine if your streak goes up and down, inside, or side to side, outside.
Good luck.

Thanks, gang.
I'm going to Costco tomorrow and looking for the Sprayway glass cleaner. I'm also going to use the dishsoap and newspaper method, as well as the Armorall glass cleaner, and see which gets the better results with the least amount of work.
The inside of the rear window is a bitch, the rest aren't too bad.
I've been completely unsucessful finding Invisible Glass so-far.
I de-bunked the vinegar/distilled water myth. Even distilled white vinegar leaves streaks, although it's better than Windex.
This morning I completely detailed the 8. Of course, on the way to the dealer to get a free oil change, the sky opened-up and I got dowsed. It rained buckets.
Tomorrow I'll be detailing it again. Grrr...

I picked up the Sprayway glass cleaner today at Costco. It's sold in a four-pack. The label has been updated from the photo that GalaxieFiveHundred posted.
This stuff appears to be the same foaming cleaner that I've been using for years on my computer monitor, but under the name of Clean Screen.
I did the windows on the 8 tonight. If no haze appears in the next few days then we may have a winner. Stay tuned.

I use a bottle of stuff called Perfect Glass, it's in a black bottle. Works wonders for me, but it streaks if you are trying to clean your windows in direct sunlight. (Works well if you pull your car into the garage after washing it).

Here's a thought- I wonder if it has something to do with offgassing of all that vinyl and carpet inside the car, re-condensing on the inside of the windows? Perhaps it's not so much an effect of any particular window cleaner? I don't seem to get it on my older cars.
