Pyroil Brake Parts Cleaner is the ticket
Thanks G8rboy. Got a new 8 in January, after about 3 days the labels were starting to bother me - I have the silk-screen, super bonded, PIA version of the label. Taking your advice I went to Kragen Auto this afternoon and got the Pyroil Brake Parts Cleaner. On the first one, I did not apply enought and I had to repeat applications and cleaning, alot of smearing of the ink. Here is what I came up after the 2nd one.
1.) Remove the Visor
2.) Spray the cleaner on the label. Let it dry, repeat this about 4-6 times.
3.) The label will blister and come off smooth as a baby's bottom.
4.) Remove the label and apply more cleaner using a soft cotton rag.
5.) Buff it out with the rag and your ready to go.
No damage to the visor, easy as pie. BTW, a friend told me that they used Brake Cleaner in Desert storm to clean their M16's. What's good for the 16 is good for the 8.

BTW, it's also good for killing wasps and hornets instantly- took out a whole nest last summer with a single squirt : )

Hmm... so the question is for silk screens- Oops, brake cleaner, or Carb cleaner? I happen to have all three laying around so maybe I'll do a little comparison this morning. If only I had three visors..

Well guys I tested two cleaners: Oops! and Carb cleaner. I decided to do those two because the success of brake cleaner is pretty universal, and secondly because most people would more likely have carb cleaner rather than brake cleaner on hand.
The results? After 10 minutes of scrubbing with oops, i was finally getting some little holes in the middle of the sticker. So I decided to move on to the next visor with carb cleaner. After letting it sit on the sticker for 5 seconds, i wiped and all the ink from the sticker smeared into a grey goo! I basically just added more carb cleaner and wiped everything off. The one thing it didn't work too well for was the remaining residue and ink stains. This is where Oops! came in. So basically the visor I did with carb cleaner took me 5 minutes all in all. The one problem is those caustic chemicals tend to eat through plastic a little, and gave some very small portions of my visor a little less smooth of an appearance. Ah well, looks way better than those stickers!

I used some of my husband's carb/choke cleaner last night, and it came right off. The fumes are killer though, but no smell when I got in the car this morning. I'm pleased! Bye bye ugly warning stickers!
