Turtle Wax ICE??

Anyone use this new "residue free" wax? Just curious about the results. Claims can be used on hot surfaces in direct sunlight, no residue on plastic etc. etc. Priced about the same as the Meguiar's NXT but comes with a microfiber cloth too.

Thanks man,

I searched "Turtle Wax Ice" and didn't see that. It's only one person though! You use it yet? I currently use NXT on my BB. What a P.I.T.A. color to keep shiny!!!

Have used it with great results. Yes, can be applied in sunlight and wipes off easily with little effort and no residue.

I believe it is on sale at Auto Zone for about $15.

I've used Turtle Wax Ice and I've found that it covers swirl marks very well. However, I can never get it to work unless I let it dry for 45 minutes to an hour. Any less time and it's like pushing oily liquid around your car. Just doesn't seem to dry fast for me (yes, I shake the bottle). I do like the no residue and can go over plastic features.

Exactly The instructions (yes I admit, I read the bottle), say to let it dry for like 10-15 minutes. Well, that's the longest 10-15 minutes I have waited for.

I found even after an hour, the parts of my car in the shade where the I.C.E. was on, was still "oily".

Anyways.....it DOES work as advertised and I absolutely love the results

First batch absolutely beautiful
Second application, after car wash - a little blotchy still clear but some area looked liked they needed to be buffed more

Thanks for all the replies and opinions!

I tried it this last weekend.

Conditions:

80 + degrees on a BB car.

Direct sun

Right after washed car and waxed with Armor All wax as you dry Gel. (great stuff for in between heavy waxing)

Results:

Super Easy to apply.

Works just like advertised. Sun does not bother it at all!

Does require a little more time to set up than standard waxes.

Polymer formula does a great job filling in small scratches.

Went right over the plastics on the car with no messy residue.

Fantastic Shine!

Opinion:

Worth every penny. Bought mine on sale at Kmart $13.00

Long lasting. A lil goes a LONG way. Much better than standard Carnubas.

Saves a ton of time.

Does require a bit more time to set but if you follow the directions which say to do the WHOLE car first then go back and buff after hazing its not too bad.

Makes the paint glassy smooth.

Great product!

I wonder if this is similar compound to the Zaino products. I'll have to try it when my Zaino runs out.

I tired it this last weekend. Although you won't get the results of something like zaino, it does work well and super easy to apply... especially everything you can't apply normal wax too... it even shined up the top of my windshield wipers and plastic base under the windshield!

yup, instructions says can be applied to "all exterior surfaces of your car including rubber moldings, plastic trim, door handles and headlight and taillight lenses with no white residue left behind." it sounds pretty kool. doesn't smell as good as nxt though.
