What % tint?

moyica, I asked the very same question, and two out of the three people who replied said to go with Window Tint America in Clearwater. So I did, and I have no regrets. They did a great job, no bubbles, and the tint was computer cut - perfect fit.
You can call them - 727-449-8827. 2169 Drew Street. Clearwater. 33765
It cost me $149 (including tax) for the 18% tint (no gps problems). Click my sig for pics.
There have been others who have had great results at other local places, but since this is the only car I've had tinted, I can't recommend any other places.

In Maryland, the law says we have to have a minimum of 35% on sides and back windows. That includes the stock tinting. As I understand it, stock the car comes with windows tinted at about 70%. Therefore, the max additional tinting I can have added is 50%. (70% x 50% = 35%)
Any suggestions in the Silver Spring area of Maryland for tinting shops?

I got it done at "The Tint Shop" in Rockville, MD. It is on 355 near the Waste Transfer station a mile south of Shady Grove Rd.
$135 for all 5 windows.
There are pictures around here somewhere...

thanks jham. I have been looking a little closer to me and it seems they all are about 30% sides 40% back. I was wondering if anybody had gotten like a quantum finish tint. It look good on a few other cars I'v seen it on but would like to see it on an 8.

Solargard High Performance Automotive Tint
I just had the above tint installed today and it looks fantastic. I got the HP True Grey 38 all around. I don't know why you'd want to get tint any darker...then no one will be able to see you in your cool car. Here's an impromptu picture.

Does anyone by chance know what color the factory tint is in the window already. I talked to a tint installer over the phone and they werent sure what type it was. I would like to know due to the fact it will effect the look of quantum tinting (silver lined) if I choose to get it. It seems like you guys have been just getting charcoal. Any help or pics would be a help.
