Question Zaino - not a wax-right?

Zaino is a showroom car polish right? If you want a high quality wax, Meguiars is the way to go with the NXT. Correct? Anybody?........

oh boy this one is confusing for us all...Zaino is definitely classified as polish yes...NXT Tech Wax is labeled a wax but its shine and depth are equal to a polish...the drawback...probably not as protective as a true wax...but no one is really sure (to be sure put a nice carnnuba wax on top of NXT)

Just Wax every month and it really wont matter

Zaino and NXT are both protectants. Some protectants are "waxes" and some are "sealants". "Sealant" usually refers to synthetic polymer type protectants, and "wax" refers to carnauba wax protectants.

Zaino is a sealant, and NXT is a mix of a polymer/wax. Both will protect your car well, but NXT is not as durable as Zaino. As has been posted many times before, Zaino will last you a good six months. NXT gives mixed results - some people only get a month out of it, some get three months. They do have a different look. It's whatever you prefer.

Zaino does not use the term "polish" like most of the rest of the car care product industry. Usually when something is called a "polish," it's got abrasives and cleaners in it to remove oxidation, swirls, etc. Zaino has no abrasives and no cleaners. It is strictly a protectant.

NXT does have some cleaning ability and some swirl filling ability.

Hope this helps.

locorx8 thanks for clarifying...Zaino does use the term polish proudly...but I think loco is right that it is more of a protectant that looks like a polish (just like NXT tech wax)

oh and there is no way Zaino protects truely for 6 months...every product out there will breakdown...even the 'once a year' wax NuFinish doesn't make it past a few months...the reality is you should just Wax/Protect (Zaino/NXT/etc) every month to 6 weeks then you are covered (or do it even more often if you are nuts about your car...like me : )...besides who actually only puts Zaino on every 6 months...you have to be serious about your car to get the product in the first place!...that almost guarantees frequent applications : )

Navydood, I said they don't use the term Polish like the rest of the industy does. Meaning, everyone else uses the word Polish to refer to something with cleaners and abrasives. Zaino confuses the issue somewhat by calling their non-abrasive protectant a "polish."

truemagellan, yes Zaino will protect for six months. I have personal experience with it. Klasse Sealant Glaze is also a very durable synthetic sealant.

Thumbs up

YES- Zaino DOES protect up to six months(or longer) and still shows a great shine! I have been using Zaino for over two years (4 different cars) and have been very pleased with the durability and the shine! It is also very easy to maintain once you get the initial base coats on.
