Zaino prevent waterspots?

Is Zaino supposed to prevent waterspots? I'm getting a lot of waterspots that are hard to remove on the front bumper. There's supposed to be 3 coats of Zaino on the car, but maybe they came off?

It might be from acid rain, which is difficult for any product to defend from, or maybe there are a lot of minerals that are being left behind after the rainwater evaporates. Do a quick wash and see if the spots come off. Most likely, they will; otherwise, re-polish/wax.

zaino doesn't do anything for water spots. zaino is optically clear, so if there are waterspots, they will show up.

even the directions for zaino say you need to dry your car and make sure there are no water spots when you apply zaino.

After I wash my car, I dry it, then go over it with the gloss spray. The gloss spray makes sure there are no water spots.

Use the z1 polish lock to get rid of the waterspots. Then go over the area with the z6 gloss enhancer.

Uh, I wouldn't do that. Where did you get the information to "use the z1 polish lock"? Just use the Z6 spray to rmove any water spots or streaks.

I don't think they even recommend buying z1 anymore. They tell you to use ZFX instead.

From zainostore.com
Please note: ZFX™ Flash Cure Accelerator Additive replaces Z-1™ Polish Lok and is superior to Z-1™ Polish Lok. Z-1™ Polish Lok is NOT necessary when using ZFX™ Flash Cure Accelerator Additive. See the ZFX™ Flash Cure Accelerator Additive page for details.

I just did the big Zaino thing on Friday. Only had time for one coat of Z-5 followed by one of Z- 2. I'd just finished and had to go and pick up my son in the pouring rain. Next morning I had a few rainspots. I just used Z-6 and they came off really easily.

if it's hard water stain, you may try vinegar to remove it. park somewhere else away from lawn sprinklers next time.

Before you guys criticize using z1/z6 to get out dry water spots, try it. It's been working for me for the last couple of weeks. As far as the statement on ZXF being superior, I'm not disputing that. ZFX is great if you are planning to appy a coat of polish afterwards. But were not talking about applying a full coat of polish, only a quick solution for getting out sundried waterspots.

Z1 was intended as a BASE coat to bond with the PAINT (not with Z2 or Z5). It might have solvents in it that would negate any prevoius layers of Zaino. It might take off the water spots, but I have afeeling it is removing more than that.

It might be coincidence, but I think the waterspots develop more easily if you have a coat of Z6 on the paint. I remembered when I first went through the Zaino process, I noticed waterspots after a week parking near the lawn on my apartment's lot. Over the next 2 months, I've been adding a coat or two of Z2 and never used the Z6. Since then, I've never had any waterspot problems, or at least they're less visible and easily removed when I washed the car.
