zaino question
hey just got my zkit 2 in the mail and im drooling waiting for my day off tomorrow. now quick question though, if there is certain products that i may not need, ie swirl mark remover, is there any advantage to still apply? i am **** when it comes to my car like most of us. but out of everything recvd i may not need everything but what experiences have you all had in this situation? thanks in advance.

I would use it all. Every product you use, only adds to the quality of the shine.
If you have any swirl marks, definitely do Z-5 a couple of times, if not, once is enough.
The Z6 is the key to the great shine, and to easier follow-up applications.
You should Z-6 between coats. Spray a mist over a section, very sparingly, and wipe-off immediately.
1 mixed bottle of Z-5 or Z-2 should do two applications.
I found that after you start using the same area of the applicator pad, the wax seems to go further, since there is less being absorbed by the pad.
Here's what I did.
1) Wash car w/ dish soap
2) Zaino Z-18 Claybar
3) Zaino Z-7 Show Car Wash
4) Zaino Z-5 Pro
5) Zaino Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray
7) Zaino Z-5 Pro
8) Zaino Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray
9) Zaino Z-2
10) Zaino Z-6 Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray
If you don't get to all the steps, just stop after a Z-6 coat, and next time, wash w/ Z-7 and continue.

We had a Zaino party last month, and did 6 cars in one day.

Damn Cesar, that's perfect!
- One thing to keep in mind is that your first time applying Zaino will be the LONGEST session you'll do because of having to wash the car twice (before and after clay).
When you clay bar your car, make sure not to rush this process as you probably wont be doing it again for at least 6 months to a year so it's important to remove as much debris as possible.

^^^What he said.
The dish soap is only to help remove any oils/waxes that are on the car.
The idea is to get everything off the car so you're working directly on the paint.
Then you claybar it, and it comes out smooth as silk.
Definitely don't use dishsoap, unless you want to remove all the wax.
But you'll have to re-wax it again to protect the paint.

I just learned that dish soap won't remove all of the Zaino...Zaino is just that bonding to the paint. To completely remove it all for sure, just use a 3M wax remover or something.

I didn't do it...haven't had a free afternoon to zaino my 8 for a while now. Can't wait for thanksgiving break...

edit: hmm, interesting, the link to an autopia thread just links it back to autopia
Search 'Removing Zaino' I guess
I don't see the need to remove whatever Zaino I have left though. I'm just going to put 2-3 coats over the paint as it is.
