Zaino'd black

Just a few shots of Brilliant Black with 2 coats of Z5 and 2 coats of Z2 with Z6 in between each coat. I love this stuff. However the their glass polish is very dusty when buffing it out.

It looks really good.. do you have any swirl marks? If so were you able to remove them with the Z5? I managed to get a good deal on my hood (also a Brilliant Black) probably using the wrong cloth to wash...

My Zaino shine. Z5 did not do much to remove the swirl marks. The car had 2 coats of Z2 and 2 coats of Z5 and coats of Z6 in between. Shine is amazing! Even caught the reflection of a jet passing overhead in the windshield. :D

That is where a California duster comes in handy. :D

Z5 did not do much to remove the swirl marks.
Again, Z5 does not remove minor scratches or swirl marks, it fills and hides them. It can take quite a few coats at times. Try applying only Z5 for the next 6 coats, hit it with some Z1, and then Z2 it. I think you will gasp when you see the end results. If that doesn't work, give 3M Swirl Mark Remover For Dark Colors #39009 a try. You may want to just jump the gun and go the 3M route. If it were me though, I would do what I first recommended first.

my10ae.... Nevertheless, your shine looks awesome. It will only get better. That you can count on. :D

Make sure you let it sit overnight on some newspaper to expell the excess paraffin wax in it. The paraffin will not hurt the surface of the car. It will just leave smudge marks/streaks.

Why do I get swirl marks on the painted metal parts and not on the painted plastic parts? Or are they less visible on the plastic parts?

The Zaino Glass Polish is the only Zaino product that I have every bought that I wasn't happy with. Not only dusty, but it left a haze on the windshield that I had a very hard time getting rid of.

Re the swirls, you need to use a good swirl remover/polish prior to using Zaino. Z5 doesn't do a very good job of hiding swirls, and what it does hide just comes back since it isn't removing them.

The most common mistake made with Zaino is failure to properly prepare the paint finish before applying it. If you have swirls and/or fine scratches, they must be removed prior to applying Zaino.
