Most any wax is going to make your car look good. What sold me on Zymöl is the ingredients. All natural stuff as opposed to the synthetic polymer chemistry going on with Zaino. Just seems healthier to me, and it smells fantastic.

Zaino smells very nice too, and for a chemical car paint, I want polymers designed for it to do their job, rather something that "works". Personal preference, I know. Zaino looked good on my color, a rather hard one to get changes on, almost right away and has only gotten better. My original 84 dollar package is still pretty full after doing 9 layers on my car, and 3 on my girls, etc.

What does Zaino smell like?
The Zymol I got ("japon" wax) smells like a great suntan lotion or piña colada, from the coconut and banana oils mixed with the carnauba wax. Their "treat" leather product has a distinct banana smell along with a bit of leathery muskiness probably from the "beef collagen". I don't know whether to store this stuff in the garage or the bedroom Another 2 months wait for the car; I hope there's some left

There are MANY types of Zymol so you really can't say. There is the stuff you get at your local auto store for $15 that is rebranded Turtle Wax (This), and there is there other stuff that ranges from $30 - $1300 per container. Yes, that is thirteen-hundred dollars. Vintage Wax

1300 for plain wax? That is just silly. You can have your car completly painted for that much money.
Anyways, Zaino has a sweet fruit candybar smell. Cant say exactly what, but any Zaino user will echo that :D

Paint is not made of natural organic ingredients, so why worry about a 'natural' product for protection? The way I understand it (after talking with Sal Zaino) Zaino is made up from the same chemicals as paint. Zaino smells great, is very easy to use, and will outlast any wax.

The desirability of carnauba wax for car finishes has been popular for many years. Using plant oils such as coconut and banana for carriers means you could probably eat this stuff. That gives me peace of mind and I'm sure the protection and results will be much more than adequate.
I guess I'm sounding like a Zymol salesman by now. Not my intent, just giving my opinion.

Down side to Zymol or any other carnuba wax is that they melt in summer temps. That's the main reason carnuba waxes don't last very long.
Zaino doesn't use carnuba wax and lasts 5-6 months or more depending on weather.
Personally, I think Zaino gives a much better shine than carnubas and is easier to use.

RX-7 Guru
This should help -
http://www.nsxsc.com/nsexcitement/waxtest.html
When Zaino first hit the scene a number of years back, a few RX-7 buddies of mine that are SUPER **** about wax and detailing decided to try it over the normal caranuba wax they were using. After going Zaino, they never went back. A few had co-workers ask if they got their car repainted - it looked that good!

the major problem I have had with zymbol is that if there are any imperfections like rock chips in your paint it is impossible to buff off all of the wax. it looks great when you finish waxing however as soon as a little cool water hits it you suddenly have hard white paste in all of those rock chips and it looks horrible. I havent found a solution to this yet either.
