04 velocity red rx8, Baltimore MD 45,000 mi. showcar testing the waters

As of right now Im mainly testing the waters here. I finally decided to sell the 8 and get an evo. Now don't get me wrong, I love the RX8 its a beautiful car, its just lacking a little in a the speed department for me. Ive wanted an evo since I was 16 and tested one but could never afford one and now that I can I've decided to go for it.

I got this car in 05, its totally paid off so no payments to worry about. It has won the baltimore Car and Truck Show and came in 3rd at the OC Car Show. It has been completely babied, oil changed at the dealership every 3000 miles, all the tune ups done to it at the correct mileages, washed every weekend and always covered. Like I said I loved this car, and I hate to get rid of it.

Here are the mods:
Vertical Doors system
Mazdaspeed full Body kit
HP Design 19" wheels with hankook tires
3 monitors in the trunklid
4 10" subs, 2 amps, and playstation 2 in the trunk
Seibon CarbonFiber hood
CF engine, ecu, fuse, battery, and radiator cover
CF eyelids
Custom CF Fender Grills(RARE!!)
CF Exterior door pillar covers
CF gauge pod
CF door sills
CF dash kit including steering wheel controls, window and lock controls, around the shifter and cigarette lighter cover, and the radio controls
CF interior door handle covers
Red mirror tint all the way around
Clear JDM side lamps
4 interior red neon tubes under each seat
Exterior red neons
Chrome RX8 windshield washer fluid, brake fluid, and coolant caps
AEM CAI system

I also have blizzak snow tires on the stock rims which have at least another good half life still left to them.

As I said Im mainly testing the waters on here right now but if the right price is offered Im ready to sell. Ive been researching and finding that my year with the same mileage has been going for around $19,000 to $21,000. Mine is in perfect condition so I will definitely not take any less than that. Any questions just PM me.

Nah............I think I'll hold out for one that has had a few modifications and isn't so stock.

BTW, nice shine to it.......is that Zaino or another brand?

Honestly, $19K to $21K seems low. Recently the Mercedes dealership here had a VR GT, same mileage, no mods, for $24K.

Oh, and just kidding about the mods, it looks great.
Even down to the rotary shaped coolant, tranny fluid, and brake fluid caps.

Yes theres definitely quite a bit of carbon fiber in there, I'd say roughly between $2000 and $3000 total but it definitely sets the car apart from the rest and looks awesome.

And "To Be Name Later", Im finding that Modded cars are actually going for less than the cars that are more stock unfortunately. If I were to take my car to a dealer I would actually have my price knocked down due to the lambo doors and other stuff like that. Oh well, Ive come to the reality that Im not going to get near what Ive put into it back but Im willing to let that go.

Any comments anybody else? Dont be afraid to chime in, Im willing to take any advice, good or bad.

Dude, all I can do stand back and clap! The hours alone put into the mods are huge! That car has to be like family by now!! Watching some other dude ride off with your baby....

Seriously, very nicely done!!!!

Beautiful car, you have obviously put a ton of work into it. Honestly if I didn't have my Shinka I would buy it in a heartbeat. That is one of the big problems though with advertising the sale of the car on this forum... most people already have an 8. Best of luck selling the car, I know its going to be hard to see it go.

Yup thats definitely the biggest problem with selling on a forum. And yes its going to be extremely hard to watch this car drive away after all the hard work but as soon as I sit down in my new evo it will all be worth it....hopefully haha.

if i were you.. i'd part the car out. i bet lots of people are looking for an MS kit. Those wheels/tires will sell too. so will the hood... provided you have or can get stock parts.

You could always put it in the next availible car show and stick a for sale sign on it? Free advertising to the right market?
