2005 RX8 Shinka MT FS
For Sale: 2005 Mazda RX8 Shinka Edition
I am selling my RX8 because I am leaving for college in August and will not be able to keep my car. I have had this car for more than a year and absolutely love it. It is unlike any car I have ever driven. It runs great and has no mechanical issues. Like I said the only reason for selling it is because I will not be able to drive it anyways and cannot afford a car while in college.

Engine: RENESIS 1.3L Twin Rotor Rotary Engine
Transmission: 6 Speed Manual Transmission With Short Shifter
The transmission is brand new. It was replaced my Mazda about 1 month ago because of grinding gear issues. The new transmission is performing great. It shifts extremely smooth.
Mileage: 30,000
Color: Black Cherry
Tire Tread Remaining: 75% Front and Rear. New tires were put on last February
Clutch: Upgraded to ACT HDSS Heavy Duty Clutch Kit and Streetlite Flywheel
Brakes: Upgraded to Carbontech Bobcat Ultra High Perfomance Brakes last November. These brakes stop on a dime very pleased with them. I also painted the front and rear brake calipers black which makes them look much nicer(as you can see in the pictures posted)

This RX8 is one of the 2,150 "Shinka Edition" Rx8s that were produced. Shinka Edition RX8s have all of the features included with the Grand Touring Package (which includes such features as Xenon HID headlights, heated leather seats, keyless entry, and moonroof) but also comes with additional features only available with the Shinka Edition Package. One feature is the uniquely tuned suspension system, upgraded from the standard car. The system offers a foam urethane filled front suspension cross member and specially tuned dampers, while achieving improved body rigidity through reinforcing the top-front portion of the A-pillars and improving the stability of the rear damper mounting points. The distinctiveness of the RX-8 ''Shinka'' extends to both the exterior and interior appointments of the vehicle. The car is offered only in a rich Black Cherry body color offset by a soft Parchment Tan leather interior. Among the exclusive exterior enhancements are semi-gloss bezels for the headlamps and rear combination lamps, as well as dark-silver gloss aluminum wheels. Also standard on the RX-8 ''Shinka'' is a 300-watt Bose sound system with in-dash six-disc CD changer.
