RX8 Poem
Some will love and others hate, be we all want an RX8. Shes bad with gas and not to fast, "The engines, THEY DON'T EVEN LAST!". But passion is what we all share, Just be smart and take good care.

Heartfelt Mumbojumbo...
Searching for my TRUE LOVE out there. I know her voice, and the little noises she makes when she gets all revved up. The feeling we have is as if we have known eachother all along, only we have never met. She will take care of me and i for her. I will Never give her up for anything because we are meant to be. the RX8 is more then a car, she is a way of life, and i need to find a way for her to be in mine.

Backstory- I'm a huge fan of this car and i have NEVER driven one. I am going to buy a Blue R3 that i may not see in person let alone drive it, just so i can have my dream car. And i will love EVERY minute with her!
it must be hard to even consider getting rid of a car that perfect, but think about my journey. Take solace in knowing she will be in great hands

Good thing there are NONE for sale. Time to Refinance the house then try this again in a month. If there are private sellers out there that are thinking about passing their Blue R3 on to another enthusiast please contact me by text any time!
I am looking for a car that was taken care of, i know there is no such thing as a perfect used ANYTHING, but im not looking for a car that was beaten on or sent to the track.
Thank you greatly

You dont know the history (carfax helps) and finding one in blue doesnt make it any easier, but insurance carries total rx8's out at very low amounts. So decent deals can be had and the buying process is easy.
Example:

I ended up buying an aurora blue one in Indiana at a dealer. But just picked up a 2012 sti for $6500 through these auctions with pretty much superficial damage.

Drivers side doors are damage, but repairable.
Passenger side back door needs to be replaced.
Slight but repairable damage to the dog leg.
Front and rear bumper, exhaust.
Rear lower control arm on the p/s as well. So I guess one could argue that its not all cosmetic, but a trip to Subaru, a spare set of wheels, and $130 later I was driving the car.

Still looking, but i need it to be within roughly 500 miles of Barre MA.
my target month to purchase is January and she will be a clean, respected daily driver. She will still be garaged and taken care of daily. Ziebert undercoating to come, BHR coils and always on time for maintenance.

Good luck, OP. There are only about 17000 S2 RX-8s ever produced globally. Either fly out there(and do a little road trip), be really patient, or say your prayer to the rotary god and hope one shows up.
I personally would screw the colour and just get whatever that has a good engine, which matters much more. I personally didn't want a red sports car(AKA cop magnet), but the colour is at the bottom of the list when it comes to buying used cars for me. As long as it's not a disgusting colour, I am fine.
Also, RX-8s that are driven hard are better than granny-driven RX-8s. You are not buying a Corolla. These cars need to be revved hard at least once in a while or you choke your engine to death with carbon.

Seems like OP wants an S2 R3 specifically.

i agree, but i was patient and got lucky that the Rotary Gods were looking out for me.
there is a local listing of the exact car with solid compression (garaged in a heated storage unit) and i am pulling the trigger! i am working on a refinance for my house (which is in the process finally) then she is all mine! BHR coils/plugs immediately!
i agree with the cop magnet thing, thats why i turned my nose to a few BEAUTIFUL red ones. keep an eye out. picture with my "new" car coming.

That's just silly, it's HOW you drive, not what color car you drive that attracts cops. A granny driving a white Buick driving 85 will get pulled over before someone doing 65 in a red Corvette. The day I have to cross off bright red from my next car purchase choice will be the day I get the Uber app.
