For Sale: 2007 Stormy Blue Mica GT
Asking price $18,000 OBO
Located in Norton, MA
Hey guys.
Well, unfortunately, I think it's time for me to sell my car. I've run into some work and home issues, and the debt is piling up, and I need to get rid of unnecessary expenses and drive my goddamn beater. I'm not exaggerating in the least when I say I think this is one of the hardest things I've had to do. I'm sure a lot of people know you really get attached to these cars. I don't have it for sale just yet, maybe in a couple weeks, I'm just gauging interest. Anyway, onto some details-
At this point, appx 17,750 miles.
2007 RX8 GT
6 speed manual
Stormy Blue Mica
Heated/power Black leather seats
Heated mirrors
Auto dimming rear view mirror
Sunroof
Bose audio w/ 6 cd changer and steering wheels controls
HIDs
Keyless entry/ignition
The car was a base GT but I added the following-
Rear spoiler
Genuine Mazdaspeed side skirts
Front air dam and rear aero pieces from Appearance pkg.
Silver Enkei RPF1s, 18x9.5 +42 offset. Brand spanking new General Exclaims, 265/35, about 500 miles on them at this point.
Blue LED interior lights
Voodoo shift **** (also have stock shift ****)
Side strakes
Clear corners w/invisible bulbs
Tint (35% all around)
Everything is mint, interior and exterior. I'd definitely get it detailed in and out before I sold it though. I took some pictures of the car a few months ago, but the car looks the same now. No interior shots at the moment, but they can be obtained on request.
Here's a link to the old thread I posted the pictures in-
https://www.rx8club.com/rx-8-multimedia-photo-gallery-6/lotsa-new-pics-my-stormy-blue-170147/
But I'll also include a few choice ones here..
And an old interior shot with bonus dirty floormats. No pictures of the voodoo **** unfortunately.

Still for sale? I'm in central CT and willing to drive up to take a closer look. Would you be willing to let her go to a great home for 17k cash? Do you have the stock rims? I'm willing to take those over these aftermarket rims for my offer

No, sorry, I sold the stock rims/tires. 17k is a little low though :\ I'm, still paying it off and that much would still leave me upside down.

I'll definitly have to come up and see it. How far away are you from the CT border? I'm about 40 minutes outside of Springfield. I would really like to meet up and check the car out. Any known issues with the car? Do you have a record of all the work on the car. I will not be available until next week. I'm very motivated to pick up an RX8 as a summer car... and I must say the stormy blue is slowly winning me over. Do you have any interior pictures?

Sorry for this wall of text, I'm pretty tired and about to head to bed. Let me know what you think, though.

not that i ever wanted to sell, but carmax says mine is only worth 16k to them, and i have nav. BS. these cars are so damn undervalued on the resale market, it's ridiculous.
but i'd say 17-18.5 is a fair price in today's market for a private sale. with the ms kit, maybe 19, but that'd be pushing it, unfortuneately.
good luck.

Yea I don't really want to go any lower than 18. Hell, according to edmunds it should go for around 20k. I agree, it's ridiculous.
As for why I'm selling, I'm just accumulated too much debt, and this is an expense I really don't need. As painful as it is (I really love this car. Big emotional connection) I think it's necessary. I'm just glad I don't really HAVE to sell it so i can take my time and hopefully get what I deserve for it.

Don't get offended. I unfortunately can't swing 18K, but I can do 15K cash. You can keep the rims as I want the stock ones. It's not a high offer at all, but that's the best I can do right now (2nd vehicle). Good luck with the sale, you can email me anytime if nothing works out and you need to sell quickly. You can try a dealership per one of the poster, but I think they will be around 15-16K. I am local to you.
Part of the reason why resale is so low is because of reliability, gas mileage and the new car's price . Also winter is coming! A new 09 base model can be had for $21K.

Looks good man, pretty much what I'd want if I were shopping for an 8 again. I'd suggest splitting off the RPF1s and putting on the stock wheels, that way you can lower the price without losing buyer interest . Also better pics, that stunning Stormy Blue looks washed out in the ones above.

And yea, I know I need better pics. I'm no longer in possession of a camera though. Maybe I'll see if I can borrow one.

You will never be able to recover the mod money, I just saw these on ebay. Mods is almost as bad as buying extra options. When it comes time to sell it, no one is going to give it much value usually

sweet vehicle....
i dont think asking 17k is out of line...15k, yes...
tmak26b....with all due respect, comparing a base 09 model to this one is like apples and oranges...the 09 just has some face lifts...and who wants a base model anyway...
good luck with the sale!!
