It's really tough not blowing up at some low ballers....
A deal should be going down on tuesday with a kid from Ohio. I'm hoping everything goes good and I'm sorry but I had to relieve my frustration somehow.
bump.

Last month we just just used USAA to purchase an 2004 rx8 from someone who had a loan still on their rx8.
Usaa doesn't need a front / back copy of title, infact I still have the title in hand a month later, usaa still hasn't seen it lol
They did however.. ask for signature / faxing of information from the seller as well as address, phone, bank account information so Usaa can pay off the loan amount. Then usaa will send you the check - to hand the seller for the price mount over what the car was paid off for.
Took about 7 days total for the process.
Just figured id add my 2 cents since we literally JUST went through that exact process with USAA.
And the price of our 2004 rx8 was 11,500. usaa told us it was worth 13k and that we got a damn good deal for 11.5k So im not exactly sure why whoever told you that, said 7k... lol
also
Usaa doesn't contact anyone else's bank its the issue we ran into with this... The seller has to notify his bank that hes selling the car, then the seller would need to provide the exact 14 day payout information, including loan account information, ect... then seller needs to sign a paper from usaa stating that once loan is paid off that he will transfer the loan to you.
just an fyi i suppose about buying with usaa. good luck. if i were to do it all over again, id use Navy Fed instead because the process was so long and rediculous lol.
we then had to go to the DMV and pay about 1k$ in tax's tag, and title transfer lol
btw sexy car
Just a quick reply to Andrew on this, I havent had too much internet access in recent months hence the delayed response (war going on and all) YES I am currently in Afghanistan and NO not a scammer. USAA (my bank) requires a copy of the title when buying from a private seller to prove that you do in fact own the car you are selling. Which is the only reason I asked you for this. when you informed me that you in fact didn't have the title and the car belonged to your bank I relayed said information to my bank (who I'm guessing contacted your bank with it), and they informed me that the car you are selling is only worth about 7-9k. USAA has a pretty comprehensive car buying service that helps its military and DOD customers when buying a car to make sure we dont get ripped off. I had everything poised to buy the car at the price wich we agreed upon and when you didnt answer my hone calls to clarify these things I abandoned said deal. hopefully this will clarify a very hasty and rude "scammer" accusation.
