Kwescott: suprised you didn't sell off the RP supercat, I would think that would be easy to get a buyer for. (and lower the selling price a bit)

Ghost has my stock cat, and he sort of made it so that I couldn't put it back on my car. At the time, I had thought it was just sort of a short time loaner...but we kept hacking it to pieces to get it to work with his exhaust.....
...the car will sell at the price I am asking...it will just be timing in finding a buyer. The wheels will be the only part that may come off the car....

Believe I have the car sold...and agreed aupon price includes the removal of the Volk Racing wheels and Unorthodox racing Underdrive Pulleys. I have a thread in the parts section for the Pulleys.....and I have one person who is already a person locally that is interested in the Volk wheels.

Great news Kwescott! Has the buyer seen the car?
You still have the stock wheels to put on the car?

The buyer has seen this thread...so yes, he has seen the car and knows what to expect. He had a previous RX8 which was totalled, so he is familiar with the car.
Yeah, wheels need to be pulled off....saki has expressed interest in them.
I hope to have the pulleys removed by Wednesday.

with the removal of the wheels and pulleys, I'm basically getting what I wanted (minus 500 dollars...which is less than a months car payment and if the car sells before my next payment is due, I end up about 100 bucks ahead).
I still need to find buyers for parts, but it is definately easier to sell parts than a car at this point in time.

location has impact on pricing as well. I would assume that you can receive a higher price for a car here in Cali versus Alabama. Modifications also seem to regional specific. There may be more interest out her in Cali....I'm not saying that my car is worth more, but in looking at the other RX8s for sale in the area, my car is competitively priced even with the high mileage.
I'm not getting what I would like to get for the car, but my needs have changed and I just want to walk away from the car without digging into my pockets.
I'm trying to pass along an excellent car to someone who will enjoy it as much as I have.
This car has definately changed my life, and I'm not shy about telling people this. It was something I hadn't expected from a vehicle, but it was a pleasant surprise to see who I was introduced to through having the car, and the new things I was exposed to because of being an owner.
I'm definately sad to see that it is about to go...just as my wife cried at the dealership when we traded hers in.

There's no doubt that location has an impact on the price. You'd be lucky to get 15 for your car around here. The reason being is that there are so many for sale in the southeast and a good bit of them are low mileage.
I hated to see mine go as well but my priorities have changed lately and the money I was sinking into the car on payments and insurance did not justify me keeping it.

Bump for a sexy car. (not driver) ha ha ha.
you might want to add the first post that the OEM fluid in the tranny and diff are NEW, and not 76k miles old. (the way you have it sounds like the fluid is old stuff)
also you need to remove the extra set of tires that are not mounted on any wheel.

bump.....79k miles on the car now.
Two parts have been removed from the car:
Unorthodox Racing Pulleys
AFE short shifter
Stock shifter is back in, with a brand new OEM shift ****.
Stock Pulleys are in with brand new belts.

It is actually amzaing how many people who are interested in the car right now through the Autotrader add. I think I could have the car sold like 5 times if I could only find someone on this forum to trade wheels with...
