hey guys, my name is justin, i've been here at the forums for a while just kinda creepin never really postin, im currently in 29 palms california (stationed here as a Marine) tomorrow im running over to alhambara (near LA) to test drive/checkout an 05 rx8. i dont currently have a car so my friend is drivin me down there and hes great with cars but doesnt know much about the rotary and im not a very mechanically inclined person myself so i was wonderin if somebody will be close in the area and would be interested in helpin me check the car out, if i like it and it is running well i plan on making the purchase on tuesday. id say id buy ya a beer afterwords but im only 19 so i'll have to just pay for your beer lol. any feedback appreciated.

#2 look for oil leaks?
#3 from a dealer or a private owner?
#4 get all maintenance data from the previous owner, changing oil on these cars frequently is essential.
#5 search the forums.

#4 i asked he said regular maintnence has been performed but i will ask for paperwork.

he said there is a small crack on the lip of the bodykit (Mazdaspeed authentic) will i know it depends on the size but is this repairable by a bodyshop?

If i was at home or could take leave and come home soon i would love to! im originally from an hour north of the cities in MN but am currently stationed out in california and i wont be able to make it home on leave until new years. its right in my price range and although it has a few more miles it has ALOT more mods than the one im going to be looking at now and is also much more original than the one here that only has mazdaspeed bodykit and spoiler along with HKS intake and is whitepearl in color. i did send the link to a friend backhome who is looking for either and rx8 or rsx type-s. he was very impressed when he saw it. i will again mention it to him.
