trade my FD for rx8
i have a lightly modded 93 FD that i'll trade for an rx8. my only stipulation is it can't be red and it can't be an automatic.
engine mods:
basically all the reliability mods and a haltech e8 standalone EMS
mods and good stuff:
reman engine installed in 2003 (~40k miles)
Haltech E8 standalone EMS
koyo radiator
pettit AST
stainless downpipe (heatwrapped)
stainless midpipe
stock catback
apexi turbo timer
manual electric fan switch over-ride
upgraded clutch done by previous owner (not sure of brand, but blue pressure plate)
Apexi intakes
battery relocated to hatch (nicely done with a tiedown)
full non-sequential conversion (w/ silicon vac hoses)
ProSport gauges (boost-mechanical, water temp-elec, fuel pressure-elec)
MBC set @ 10psi
new SuperPro polyurethane bushings (front only)
koni yellow shocks (on stock springs)
falken azenis rt-615 tires (225/50/16)
dynamat installed under rear bins, on both doors, and in spare tire well (nice and quiet on inside)
re-leathered stock seats (pictured)
new leather shift boot and ebrake boot (redline)
new black floormats
99spec black carpet
on the current setup, the car has run a best of 12.0@115
here are a couple pictures. PM me or IM me for more (jacobcartmill on AIM):

Good Luck............I sold mine to a guy in Norway.....then bought an '04 RX-8 GT MT ..'cause I wanted something newer....just like you......now driving an '06 MX-5 GT MT .....wanted to have some fun, but wanted better gas (work roundtrip is 60 miles/day)....so the MX-5 trade was too good to pass up.....couple getting ready to have their first child traded it for a CX-7.....terrific price only 9k miles.....Still love the look of the RX-8.........hoping for the future.....meanwhile....saving a little on gas.

Post up the addt'l pics and description to possibly help a trade go through faster; I'm sure someone will do it...

most of us do, some folks on here have multiple rotaries in their garage. (I don't for the record, wish I did) I wonder how many people know that these cars aren't total basketcases like the interweb and such would have them believe.

lol thank you. in fact, i've been daily driving this FD for 2 years now with very minimal problems, probably as few problems as the rx8 guys
now, with the haltech, it's even smoother and more reliable than stock with thermo-fan control, better gas mileage, better timing and fuel, etc.

correct. i daily drive this car and it runs very smooth.
also, i forgot to mention the BAD stuff about the car, which isn't a lot, but needs to be mentioned:
oil pan seeps slightly, but no oil drips or anything.
5th gear grinds (common fd problem)
door jams were not painted when the previous owner had the car painted (car was originally montego blue)
several nicks in the paint and several touch-ups, but nothing major, as you can see in the pics.

Silly people who mess with mods in the wrong ways have certainly lowered the reliability reputation these cars have thus making finding a truly clean rx7 difficult. I only was pointing out that many rx8ers seem taken away by the 7 but may indeed not know that much about them. I was extremely close to hopping into one + daily driver; there's a reason the stigma/joke lives that one should have twice the value of the car when purchasing - half will be needed for maintenance.
I love the third gen 7 (fan of the first gen at heart though) and respect it immensely. Your car is clean. Just making a comment
