I'm in the market for a new car, my budget is $11k (all cash)
Looking for a well taken care of RX-8 with under 60k miles, clean title and clean carfax, 6 spd MT
There are 2 RX-8s at used car dealerships in my area for this price but I'd rather buy it from a person than a dealership.

you ave to take into account of other things too. You may have to pay a little more up front because its a dealership but the dealership inspects them and stuff like that. i know i know, sometimes dealerships sale lemons but there are lemon laws now so itll keep you safe when buying from dealerships. make sure to get a carfax from either dealership or private seller. good luck with finding one!

The problem is that most dealerships do not know what they're looking at when it comes to rotary-engined cars. I learned this mistake when I bought my old FC off a used car dealer lot long time ago - only to bust a seal about 5000 miles later.
I have a 2005 Velocity Red Mica RX8 6-speed Touring that I might get rid of by Summer. I currently have the following mods:
- Burnout KD-IV Front Lip (Painted VR)
- Progress Technology Sway Bars
- Agency Power Endlinks
- AFE Short Shifter w/ new delrin cup from RP
- Fluid Motorsports Synchro Saver
- Carbotech XP10 Fronts / Carbotech XP8 Rears
- Custom Stainless-steel braided Teflon-coated brake lines
- BHR Ignition Kit (LS2 / Yukon coils)
- AEM CAI - polished
- Greddy Spectrum Elite exhaust
For maintenance, I only use:
- Idemitsu Rotary Premix - Half a case goes to the new owner
- FP Plus Gasoline - Half a gallon goes to the new owner
- Royal Purple 10W40 Motor Oil
- Redline MT90 Trans Fluid
- Motul RBF600 Brake Fluid
- Redline 75W90 Diff Fluid
- Series II OEM Mazda Oil Filter
I'm not in a rush to sell the car. I just figured if I get what I want, I'll go buy that E90 M3 sooner.
45k miles, pristine, no leaks, and no grinds.
$13,500. So for $2500 more you're getting a ton of items which if you don't like. You CAN EASILY get rid of them here within minutes.
