WTB: RX-8 near Chicago/Midwest
I've recently fallen in love with the RX-8 and I'm looking for a black or silver one in the Midwest (or if your willing to drive it to Chicago, then however far away). Auto is preferable, but I'll look at manuals too. I'm looking for something in the 10k-15k range. Send any offers to vergasam@gmail.com and thanks for any help or leads guys.

did you try autotrader.com? I put in with 50 miles of 60618 and came up with two in your price range.

If you can't find an rx8 I would go for a Mazda 6 s
I just did the same search but for mazda 6 and came up with 34 results. Some of them were 06 models with ~25,000 miles for less than $15,000
I am also a fan of this car I test drove one before I got the 8, if I needed a second car with decent gas mileage this one would be on my list(among many others). They are hard to find though, and manual.
Outside of Mazdas, I would look into a Pontiac Grand Prix or G6 (I know many here would dissagree) but I have owned both and loved both. The G6 in the GTP trim may be hard to come by in your price range, but I'm sure you could find the grand prix

I think I have what your looking for. 2004 RX8, Silver with black interior, MT, 38k miles (mostly highway), excellent condition, all maintenance and oil visits completed, records available. Sport package and appearance package. The car drives great and looks great. I'm including my winter wheels and tires (ASA/Michelin Alpine Sport) with the purchase. I'm located in Chicago, IL.
