post up some requests We're gearing up for a big move so unless it's on our radar it may not end up on sale on the website. We've held back on any large restocking runs for the move, so any remaining inventory will be first come first serve. We've got limited parts left on our shelves

Does anyone in your company ever give a straight answer? Are you saying that this years sale won’t be the same as the previous 10% off everything sales of the past or what exactly? You don’t seem to have recognized that this was an opportunity to promote a sale, assuming there is one. Because now it’s not even clear if there is.

I don't know why you're saying "our company never gives straight answers". We asked for suggestions of what you guys would LIKE to see available for a holiday sale. We don't plan sales more than a week in advance, but if you guys have suggestions and we feel like we can give you guys a deal on a popular item that people are interested, we'll make something happen.
Please realize this was a bumped Black Friday sale from a year back.
Yes we will have a Black Friday sale, no it will not be a flat 10% off the entire store. We will have select items on sale, and are asking for the communities input. Select items will be on sale, it will not be a flat sale like previous years.

We're not salesmen, we're a performance manufacturing shop. The outreach/interest from the RX8 community in performance parts has been extremely extremely mild, and to be honest we haven't spent much effort due to the lack of interest or follow-through from the RX8 community.
I don't know why you're saying "our company never gives straight answers".

Well my apology for not realizing you were not “chomping at the bit” this year like all the previous years.
Life must be good then, congrats ....

I would hope that a "performance manufacturing shop" could deliver performance parts on a timely basis (or at all). I'll repeat my question from before, what happened to the RX8 electric water pump? You teased it on this website, your customer service team answered email and phone call queries about it.....then nothing. Thats why I don't think you give straight answers.
Same with the Big Brake Kit we made... We've got it running on our shop car, did everything we could to reduce costs as much as possible (~$1300 for a full big brake Kit which is exceptionally cheap), machined hats, made custom brake lines... And then, same thing, no interest, so we didn't do a production run of the brackets.
Literally everything we do is based on community interest and enthusiasm. The RX8 community as a whole doesn't seem to actively modify their cars in significant ways. W ship 50 brake kits a month between the FD and S2000 communities alone, but could y get 5-10 people on even an interest list for brakes, let alone to pay. On top of that we get little interest in suspension upgrades (another staple of our business), and very little messages aside from orders for accessories and like, brake pads for stock brakes.
We produce a rx8 performance ignition kit and made the mistake of doing a large production run of parts for the 8, and just got a bunch of low ballers complaining that it wasn't as cheap as the LS kit made by another vendor that just plugs into the stock harness. We'll clear out inventory on the ignition kits cheap this year but when we're out we may not make them again for instance.
It's like pulling teeth to convince RX8 owners to buy performance parts... where they literally fly off the shelves in other communities for much smaller customer base platforms. If you guys actually want parts, motivate each other to want them, and we'll happily produce them. Again, we make parts in the S2000, FD, NSX, BRZ, and Miata communities through our sister site www.MiataSpeed.com ... They all are interested in us making parts and put their names down on lists enthusiastically, and follow through with deposits. It works. In the RX8 community we've yet to get any significant traction. Someone explain this to me

No, we don't *need* your business, we do very well in the other communities we product parts for. We would however love to collaborate with RX8 owners, fill niches in the product lineups that you guys want/need, go to bat with our vendors (Racing Beat, Hawk, Ohlins, Eibach, Samco, Mishimoto, Wilwood, etc) for you guys to get you the best pricing on parts etc. The frustrating thing for us is getting little traction in the RX8 community. Our shop car goes to the track, and gathers dust for the rest of the year since we get luke warm interest at best from the forum for products.
The effort has to outweigh the cost to boot up new products... And try to leverage volume for sales on other parts. Show us the interest and I promise you we'll come through for your community and be a great asset to the RX8.

I think that the comparison to the FD and S2000 communities is problematic. Those two cars have retained (or increased!) their value since they were discontinued. The RX8's value has plummeted. As a result, they arent going to weekend race car drivers or driving enthusiasts, they are going to a lower part of the market which may not have the disposable income to buy track rated suspension and brakes. I think the guys that were/are willing to invest in the car already have.
All of that being said, with the ignition kit you're looking at an uphill climb against a very well known product. As a forced induction user, I am very excited to see what your kit will do (Dyno day is tomorrow!). The coils have an excellent reputation in the RX7 and big block V8 communities, so I am hopeful that they wont let me down.
I do not recall any public messages about the water pump, if I missed them and accused you of not responding to us, I apologize. That is definitely a niche product with a small user base. Id be stunned if there were 25 people willing to do it on this forum. Doesnt mean I dont want to try it, however!

I’ll have a 4-piston rear caliper with e-brake setup soon to compliment the rest of my RacingBrake setup
I wouldn’t use anything less than the IGN-1A coils on a boosted engine for sure
